Do you use Facebook?

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to start  a  topic to see if there is anyone here on BD that uses Facebook and if so, what do you use it for? Do you use it just to chat with friends or distant family? Do you use it as day to day timeline of your life (yes, some people do this for some reason), do you use it to share photos and videos, do you use it to view pages or groups, maybe you use it to promote a bussiness or bussinesses?


I know that a couple users on BD that I know on a more personal level have a Facebook and use it regularly/daily while others have an account, but rarely ever go on it.


I also seem to always hear people say they don't use Facebook anymore, but they use Twitter and Instagram. Then if you try and bring up Facebook in a conversation, they say 'FACEBOOK! WHO USES FACEBOOK ANYMORE?' and I always roll my eyes because I mean its not like Myspace that died down awhile ago.

This isn't meant to be obstructive but 1mtvfan seems to have had a thing against Facebook from its first day. Such is obviously up to him, but it does create frustrations.

Well this is interesting news. Reading the past posts that Charlie had a Facebook account. It seems he was wanting to get rid of his account with too many notifications and too many e-mails in his e-mail. I thought he didn't even have a account at all. From what I know Charlie wasn't a fan of Facebook and I wasn't going to be on the website at all. Not sure what changed that. But it is sure real interesting news to me

I am still using Facebook. But there is a lot of changes on there and I still getting use to all of the changes on there. Most of the e-mails I do get I just delete them since I don't want to read them at all. But i am still liking Facebook as it ways to share different things with my friends. I also do like writing notes to share my favorite music including new singles or albums from TobyMac. Just wanted to post on this topic again since I posted on it a long time ago

Yes i use it for the same advertising reasons i use Twitter

I also use Facebook, but I try to limit my usage of it as there are far more important things to be done in life.

I do agree with Arthur. I still do got Facebook to connect with friends and family. But I do try not to spend too much time on it just share what I need to share and keep up with all of the groups I am part or. I don't spend too much time on there since I do have a lot of other things I got to in my life too

I have my own personal facebook account for family only and a few selected friends. Its private and I don't give any information on it as its blocked off from public views.

I do have one for my Reporter Captures site however I don't use it much

Facebook isn't for everyone. Since Charlie wants to live in the real world that is his choice. I only use my Facebook for sharing different things and sharing my favorite music videos. I do some times post a picture of myself on there but not too often. But there is so many social media out there just have to choose the one you like the best. But if you don't like any of them that doesn't mean you have to join him. I know have been asked to joined Instagram but I haven't joined it at all. That is just my thoughts

I use facebook only for messanger and to scroll it a little when I'm really bored
And I'm using Instagram only for sharing my photos, and sometimes I just share them at facebook and twitter too

I do share a lot of pictures of my Facebook but it is mostly from the Facebook app on my phone. I do rarely share a picture from the laptop to Facebook. But that is only if I do feel like sharing pictures of myself that is

Most of the photos you share is either TobyMac stuff or prayer stuff.

Yes that is very true. I do rarely post pictures of myself just some times. But it is mostly encouraging pictures and along with the Speak Life pictures from TobyMac

I have to say there has been a lot of changes on Facebook. You can even watch things on there. But it is all good since I did recently change my cover photo on there with The Elements album from TobyMac along with the TobyMac hoodie I got. I thought it was time to change the cover photo and I think it looks real good too

Yeah they usually change alot to trial new features or something. Video should work though.

i use facebook i just only mainly use it for friends and family tho and i also have a group page on there as well but that's about all i use it for mainly.

Facebook is planning to launch a new site design in a couple months, its already live on their app. I think it looks awful

i seen it and have the new layout on my iphone not a big fan of it to be honest but i will have to see what it will look like site wide and i might hate it to Who knows what will happen

I for one am and will remain neutral on this matter.
