Do you use Facebook?

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to start  a  topic to see if there is anyone here on BD that uses Facebook and if so, what do you use it for? Do you use it just to chat with friends or distant family? Do you use it as day to day timeline of your life (yes, some people do this for some reason), do you use it to share photos and videos, do you use it to view pages or groups, maybe you use it to promote a bussiness or bussinesses?


I know that a couple users on BD that I know on a more personal level have a Facebook and use it regularly/daily while others have an account, but rarely ever go on it.


I also seem to always hear people say they don't use Facebook anymore, but they use Twitter and Instagram. Then if you try and bring up Facebook in a conversation, they say 'FACEBOOK! WHO USES FACEBOOK ANYMORE?' and I always roll my eyes because I mean its not like Myspace that died down awhile ago.

They will never stop supporting adobe flash player. Too many websites and things require its use. Without it, there is little you can do on the web.

Exactly Brandon, but the fact that Facebook blocks Flash Player does help to prevent security issues. I happen to use Facebook quite often actually, but have decided to try and not express myself on there as much as I used to

I know you use it often. Your one of the ones I know. You feel free to express what you like as much as you like here on the BD.

What does supporting Adobe Flash have to do Facebook? You stop supporting Adobe flash, you say goodbye to youtube, all live streaming sites INCLUDING Kageshi will not work and be un usable. Almost everything on the web uses flash. Without it, the internet would become partially broken.


If you don't believe me, look it up. Almost EVERYTHING uses Flash.

well, it will still work, but it just means that there will be no support for Adobe flash player, so if it messes up, you're on your own, but it does mean that facebook will go dark, as it constantly relies on flash for it's many operations.

Kageshi will go dark too, as will Youtube and many many other sites. It will disable the internet terribly. It won't happen.


Anyway, we are getting off topic.

facebook is the only site that will go dark as far as been said. but will have to do a little more digging on the matter

Obviously you don't know how widely used flash is. I can assure you more sites then you believe use flash and in fact are useless without flash. Pretty much anything that has moving objects, videos, etc uses flash. Kageshi fits in that category, without flash you can kiss it goodbye.

well you will have to read up on it yourself, because the facebook brass themselves ahs said once the adobe flash player support ends, facebook will go dark.

So will every other site. Thats why I am telling you that the support for it is not going to end.

facebook will go dark, others will follow suit, if any goes dark, but it is doubtful, but flash player support IS ending, and if you don't believe me read this.

It is not doubful that any will go down. Other sites will go down. I dont think you understand just how much of the web uses flash. I am telling you, you stop adobe flash, half the web IS (NOT might) is gonna break.


Your all excited for it now because YOU wanna see Facebook die. What you dont realize Facebook IS NOT THE ONLY WEBSITE THAT USES FLASH. You will instantly regret it, if it happens.


In fact, I dont think Facebook uses as much flash as you claim, I will tell you why, because adobe flash player is not supported on Andriod devices and browsers, Facebook works just fine on it. Youtube, KAGESHI , Wix sites and all other live streaming sites on the hand dont. Just proof for ya. I will send you screenshots on skype if you still want to be in denial and dont believe me.
