Do you use Facebook?

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to start  a  topic to see if there is anyone here on BD that uses Facebook and if so, what do you use it for? Do you use it just to chat with friends or distant family? Do you use it as day to day timeline of your life (yes, some people do this for some reason), do you use it to share photos and videos, do you use it to view pages or groups, maybe you use it to promote a bussiness or bussinesses?


I know that a couple users on BD that I know on a more personal level have a Facebook and use it regularly/daily while others have an account, but rarely ever go on it.


I also seem to always hear people say they don't use Facebook anymore, but they use Twitter and Instagram. Then if you try and bring up Facebook in a conversation, they say 'FACEBOOK! WHO USES FACEBOOK ANYMORE?' and I always roll my eyes because I mean its not like Myspace that died down awhile ago.

I am having the same problems too. I do have fast internet and a fast laptop. Facebook still having problems. This new version totally sucks anyways. I am not a fan of it at all. I will have to get used to it since I can't switch back at all. I did find by clicking on my name would refresh my timeline but that is a pain in the butt. I am also not happy they took away Notes as they said it would be in my timeline some where but not sure where. I was happy to use Notes but there is no Notes any more. Just more useless stuff I wouldn't use at all. I don't know what Facebook is doing but I don't like it at all. That is my rant anyways

I will admit that I am not a fan of FB marketplace.

I am not a fan of the new version of Facebook. I would love to have the classic version back. I know I will to get used to it. I am slowly getting used to it but I don't like it at all. That is my thoughts

I'll admit that there are some aspects of New Facebook that I don't like very much, but I'm trying to get used to them regardless.

Hello everyone
I've noticed that (as of 6:00PM CST on 12/17/2020), Facebook has stopped allowing people to tag their friends. I for one am hoping that this is NOT a permanent thing tbh, as I don't like it at all.

Facebook is always breaking things if it's not broke don't break it tagging is a good feature and facebook broke it for the main profiles they work fine in groups but not Profiles.

As I said before, I for one am hoping that such is a temporary thing.

i really hope so art let's hope they didn't remove this for main profiles.

No change on the tagging issue as of 12/25/2020, so it looks like we will have to wait until sometime in the new year to see if this will get fixed (but such could be a permanent thing too though).

Well of the new things on Facebook is driving me nuts Even scrolling up in messages in Messenger is a real pain. Also trying to find people to send a message to as it gives me all of these people I have no idea who they are. I am also not happy about tagging friends as that is not good at all. I do that some times but still it was a good to do. I haven't been on Facebook for a bit as I did take a little Christmas break from it. I will be checking stuff on it tonight but I am not looking forward to it. That is my thoughts

Agreed Josh. I have noticed anytime an ad video shows up on my feed, it makes Firefox goes nuts and sometimes even crash. It is annoying lol/
