Do you use Facebook?

First topic message reminder :

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to start  a  topic to see if there is anyone here on BD that uses Facebook and if so, what do you use it for? Do you use it just to chat with friends or distant family? Do you use it as day to day timeline of your life (yes, some people do this for some reason), do you use it to share photos and videos, do you use it to view pages or groups, maybe you use it to promote a bussiness or bussinesses?


I know that a couple users on BD that I know on a more personal level have a Facebook and use it regularly/daily while others have an account, but rarely ever go on it.


I also seem to always hear people say they don't use Facebook anymore, but they use Twitter and Instagram. Then if you try and bring up Facebook in a conversation, they say 'FACEBOOK! WHO USES FACEBOOK ANYMORE?' and I always roll my eyes because I mean its not like Myspace that died down awhile ago.

i have never shopped on the Facebook market Place tho it would be cool to buy some CDs from there cuz they have a lot Mixer wise the selection is very Weak for the most part

Yeah the selection is weak, but sometimes you'll find a Gem in there.

I get notifications for new ads posted in this part of Facebook but don't pay all that much attention to them. I do look at this website every day actually, but don't really say too much on there nowadays.

I don't buy anything on Marketplace just see what is on there that looks interesting. People are always selling the most interesting things on there. I just mostly check the notifications. Last night I have to upload two pictures and I got that figured out. I haven't posted a status update or did anything else on there. I did save my sign in info since it makes it easier to get into Facebook and log out too. I am sure I would use it more once I get to used to it. I probably won't do the live stream since I don't even do that on my laptop at all. Mostly just post pictures or videos is what I will do. That is just my thoughts

I have never bought anything off the marketplace either.

I had use the Facebook app on my phone since my laptop was going so slow for some reason. It is better now. But I have figured out how post pictures or status updates. Also search out pages on there along with share YouTube videos on there. I still do use it to share pictures and post a status update. It is good to have and use it when I need to. I haven't got nothing on marketplace but it is interesting to see what people are selling on there

You just now figured out how to post pictures and status updates to Facebook Josh .

i post once and i while and post Photos using the facebook app how ever i don't use the app much since i'm on my computer more and is where i spend most of my time but the app is good for that once and a while posting if i'm out and about or to Lazy to get out of bed

You rarely post on your own wall though to be honest.

not alot only if it's like a memory or to post a photo i mainly just use the group pages more then anything since i promote the shows alot even when i do post on my Profile it's very Rarely then i do now when i was on facebook the first couple of years i posted alot more since i didn't use the pages as heavy then like i do now but when i do post it's once in a blue moon

Yeah most of your posts are to pages or groups.

Yes but I have only had my new phone since Boxing Day. Now I know how to post pictures and status updates. I also know how to go into groups and see posts in there. Also watch videos from my Liked pages. Also see my memories for the certain day on there. I have discovered a lot of new things on there recently. I also discovered I listen to a playlist of my music from iCloud while doing things on the Facebook. But I did find when going to a video on YouTube it does pause the music on iCloud. I also do know how to post videos from YouTube to Facebook. I know how to a lot of things now. A lot happens in a whole week Brandon

i never do selfes on facebook plus i have not changed my profile pic in a Little over a year or so now.

I never to selfies either, if you look at any of my account you will never find a picture of me. Just don't like posting my picture online.

Little bit of information here folks... some police agencies are using facial recognition software that takes pictures from Facebook. I've also learned that Canada's Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is one of these organizations.

No I won't be doing more selfies. I have some selfies on my old phone. I am sure when I figure out the camera on my phone I could try a selfie to test it out. But I do rarely post pictures of myself from my phone. The last time I do remember posting a picture of myself was my birthday last year in August. I haven't posted a picture of myself since then. That is my answer. Unless you were hopefully to see more selfies of me

to be honest with you art they been doing this for years it's nothing new as Black scorpion has stated it's Old News if you have nothing to hide why should you or anyone worry for that matter.

Someone mentioned Facebook Marketplace in this thread earlier and I will address it too. I also don't buy anything from this, but looking at this from time to time does no harm. Its interesting to see how much variety of stuff that people have and want to sell actually.

 I use it all the time, i browse and buys from there, i get some good deals. especially when someone buys new equipment and they sell off their old /used one.

i only look at the facebook marketplace i don't actually buy anything

According to DJ Aaron, Facebook is going to start looking like its mobile counterpart in April. This will take some getting used to but won't be all that different for those who use the mobile version of Facebook.
