Re: Train sets!
the F9B will be on the passenger train soon, and it sure will help it to climb that hill on the helix, because the F9A has to be in Notch 8 to climb the hill, and it flies around the corner off the hill, which is very dangerous because it makes a likelihood of the locomotive or parts of the train flying off and hitting the floor, which is not wanted.

Re: Train sets!
update, soo line 772 has suffered yet another mechanical break down and unfortunately needs to return to the repair shop, which is disappointing because it just came out of the shop the other day.

Re: Train sets!
Bit of a sad update here, but it needs to be mentioned. As a result of several petty disagreements between the main crews, operations may become significantly staggered (meaning no more than one crew on duty at any one time) from now on.

that's still in negotiations, but former CN F9B no. 4350 is working fine, it's a big help to 6500C on the helix hill climb, also, 2 new pics follow

furthermore, SOO line 772 and BNSF 7835 are still in the repair shop

Re: Train sets!
Latest update here, the negotiations regarding staggered crew operations have been completed now & this concept is going into use. I'm not a big fan of this myself, but sacrifices need to be made sometimes.

only because ttfan is being immature about the real issues, nothing yet on the new grain hoppers, but they should be in the post by week's end

Oh ok, well sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Sometimes sacrifice is needed in life. Sometimes you gotta do it for the sake of compromise.

Re: Train sets!
well, whatever his account is, he's sending me 2 new cylindrical grain hoppers, and, further update, the 3 new grain hoppers have all hit the rails and are running fine, one had to be renumbered, but no further issues have come up with it, so it is being a fine piece of equipment. also, if i can find a radio tower and a sufficient building to match, the BGRN will have a spot on the existing layout as well as the new layout if there is room for it

It really sucks (considering that I've already got a number of other issues in my life), but there isn't much of a choice.

well, if i go back tomorrow, it'll be TTfan and i both there, as the issues regarding the set have been subsiding quite a bit lately, and TTFan, this isn't the place to be nursing a grievance. just saying.

Re: Train sets!
updtae, new flatcar, Former CP rail no. 303313, has been officaly added to the LVCRR roster, and is being loaded with a heavy construction roller, although there is a need for more chaining down on it, as it is bobbing around back and forth quite a bit

Re: Train sets!
further update, construction roller has been secured to the new flatcar so it will not roll around or off, but, as the landscaping has STILL not commenced, i am really considering another boycott until the work on the landscaping ACTUALLY gets started, i am sick of waiting for everything to happen when the builder just wants to sit on his backside and watch boring and depressing news that is nothing but dreck and BS. also really considering just packing up all of my equipment and pulling up my stakes in this whole venture for a while.

Re: Train sets!
once again a solo session at the LVCRR, and it's going to be the last one, if [Only mods are allowed to see this link] goes for a running session, i will go, if not, then i stay home, also, it is looking like a winter boycott is in the works, as the landscaping is yet still unfinished, and i am STILL sick of waiting for this work to get started, because the sooner it starts, the sooner it is finished. this is going to be one miserable winter . newest pic follows
