Re: Train sets!
well a lot of fuss and confusion could have been avoided if that was said at the start.
also, if anyone wants to send me and TTFan some more trains stuff of any kind, let us know, but keep in mind that the scale that TTFan and I run is "HO" scale, not any bigger, or any smaller.

Re: Train sets!
still not sure if it's right yet, but practice makes perfect. also, BNSF 7835
will be put on evaluation today, performing light duties to see if the repairs were
effective enough or if more are needed. UPDATE: repairs to BSNF 7835 have proven very effective for now
all that is needed now is some lubrication and things should be back to normal

If anyone wants to know, 5372 was purchased from Progress Rail services and was repainted into its current color by its new owner.

That's alright, it happens

Re: Train sets!
BNSF 7835 is working again, but is screaming and howling like a banshee, will try some grease on the internal gears and see how that will help, SOO 772 is also growling, and is in need of the same greasing, so will try to do it to them both and hope for the best. Update, SOO 772 is quiet with the
greasing, but BNSF 7835 has to be repaired again as its axle sets have fallen apart

That is sad news to hear.

Do you know when the repair work will begin?
Re: Train sets!
the repair work will begin ASAP, and it is hoped that 7835 will not be in the repair facility for longer than it has to be

Re: Train sets!
Got some happy news to share here folks! 7835 is back in full operation now, since its bogies (aka trucks) have been repaired. There is one other unit currently stored in the repair yard at present (the 6057), but the problems that it has are more than expected and will take a lot longer to fix.

Re: Train sets!
further update, 7835's drive axles are %100, but the drive trains have misaligned again, so more work is needed ,but it was working fine for a while, also, i was able to take a new pic for you
all.

another bulkhead flat at the freight station, this one with a load of heavy equipment wheels and tires

Re: Train sets!
yeah, but the tie downs on my bulkheads are in transition, because i am
Switching them from strings to actual chains, that may look a bit more realistic.

Re: Train sets!
I forgot about another locomotive that is currently stored in the repair yard at this time. Former SP steam unit 4449 is also needing repairs but has the same issue as the 6057.

Re: Train sets!
i am still in the process of seeking a repairman for them, but it's proving to be a long and painful search
Update: 7835's rear drive shaft has popped out of place, but i have hopefully secured it back into place again. also, the tie downs transition is almost complete, just have to cut the 2nd one to length, and then secure it, but still have another flat car to do
