I only use iTunes on my Ipad since Apple basically forces you too, but I don't use for anything besides signing in to manage my phone stuff.

i have mainly found a New App For Ripping CDs now i will have to make a post on it soon other then Itunes there is also Sony's Music Center For PC it's a cool App but again i will have to make a post about it

I didn't know Sony had a music player .

Well that does sound real awesome there. But I mostly use Windows Media Player to rip CD's. I haven't tried iTunes yet but you did say it was faster. I am wondering if it is much faster with Sony's Music Center App. Since this is the first time I have heard about it

well both media player and itunes no longer fetch album art for the files anymore and it kind of bugs me that it don't store it with the file any longer so so the reason why i did Choose the sony Music center for PC is it does include album art with the rips if you go thumbnail view you can see that both itunes and windows media Player don't store album art with the files so i try to keep Everything in order that way i like album art what can i say the other 2 apps don't cut it for me

My media player still gets the album info and Art.

it's not system wide tho in folder you do thumbnail view on a CD you ripped it's not there

Are you sure you have the most updated version of Media Player?

media player has not been updated since windows 7 microsoft no longer updates media Player it's still version 12 from when they released windows 7.

Well I imagine they must still do security patches for it in Windows Updates in order to keep it safe to use.

iTunes would probably take it from the iTunes Store. Windows Media Player takes it from another website it seems to be a XBox Music website. I can get album covers for the songs in my music library. That is even when I am ripping CD's to my music library. It seems it that Sony Music Center does the same thing along with album art and track listings for any of your music

tho itunes no longer has system wide album art even if you get it from Itunes it's self you have to do the old copy and paste into the folder now Media Player on the other hand microsoft did shut down and Blocked the web server to go find album art in windows 10 i don't think they shut it down for windows 7 yet tho i had to use Sony Music Center to rip and get album art and the CD Rips are High Res mp3s after it's all said and done at the end of the day both itunes and media Player are still both good in my opinion but Itunes is more bloated now then it use to be and media player 12 is old and clunky and locks up sometimes in windows 10

Yes that is very true. I still do use it. I don't use iTunes a lot just to make playlist to put on my iPod but other than that I don't use it too much at all apart from buying songs on the iTunes Store with the account I got. I use Windows Media Player a lot more and I do update my music on there. I also rip CD's on there or even listen to a CD on shuffle mix in Windows Media Player. But that is my thoughts

microsoft has once when they released windows 10 i had to re install media player cuz they did remove it by default in place of groove music that failed cuz people found away to either re install it or re enable it cuz microsoft was at the time removing useful things and media player was one of those things along with windows movie maker ect. so yes they did remove things at one point in time and people didn't like it.

Windows Media Player has been back in Windows 10 by default for at least 2 years now though.

yep i know there was a point in time where they tried to remove it/hide it cuz they where like oh use the new groove music app i didn't like that really well and put media player back into windows

Anyway, we are getting a tad bit off topic now.

Its sad to know that Apple has killed its Itunes but this doesn't affect me as I never used this program.

they only killed it for Mac OS it's still available for windows tho.

Are you sure they killed Itunes? Because I know they use itunes account to sync everything on iphones. It would be pretty difficult for them to kill it off completely.

they did for Mac OS Just this last September but they said they keep it for all windows users due to Apple music coming to mac OS.

I don't like Groove Music at all. I love Windows Media Player since it works great for me. I know that iTunes still works for me in Windows 10. I mostly just make playlists on my iPod or add new music on it. I also do get new songs on iTunes Store when I have time to with the account I have. That is all I use iTunes for

i don't think apple will ever get rid of Itunes on the windows side cuz it still get's updated on a normal basis as for the mac it is dead since it was announced back in September of this year only apple users have to suffer with not having itunes cuz apple music now does everything on the mac side but for windows itunes is still very much available

I doubt they will get rid of it on IOS either since most of the phone backup features for icloud and stuff like that is linked to Itunes accounts. In order to kill it on IOS they would have to convert all those accounts to Apple accounts or something which I am willing to bet would be an expensive endeavor.

Yeah Groove Music was a failure and I hear Microsoft has either killed it off or is in preparation to kill it off in the near future.

actually they have got rid of it on the latest release of IOS it's known now called Apple music Not itunes anymore but it will still work if you go through itunes on a windows PC cuz you still need itunes to reset iphones if you use windows since they already ditched itunes for the mac you can still sync your iphone through apple music on the mac from what i heard anyways.
