Re: General Itunes Discussion
i use it to rip CDs mainly other then that i don't really use it as a player only to Rip
Re: General Itunes Discussion
Yes I do use iTunes. It is mostly to add songs to my iPod. I also do use it for buying songs from Apple Music. I also add all of my new music into iTunes since then it is easier to put it on my iPod. I also do make playlists to put on my iPod. That is all I use iTunes for

Re: General Itunes Discussion
I haven't used Itunes in many years primarily cause I have had no need to.
Re: General Itunes Discussion
media player can rip but it no longer can reach out to the internet to retrieve the info needed to get the right album info that's why i use itunes cuz there database is online where windows turned off the server for there player cuz they want to kill it off and might be removed eventually that's why microsoft has itunes available now in the microsoft store to basically replace media playertester12 wrote:DJAaronRadio wrote:i use it to rip CDs mainly other then that i don't really use it as a player only to Rip

Re: General Itunes Discussion
ya i hear ya brandon i only use it for Ripping CDs and like i told tester Media player as it is now don't have the functionality like it use to have like finding album info and album art media players servers for that is well turned off for getting album art and most of the album info and half the time it's not correct so that's why i went to itunes and alot of the album info alot of times is 100% correct and album art only works within itunes not file explorer so there is some bugs there but 100% it grabs the right info for the CDBrandon wrote:I haven't used Itunes in many years primarily cause I have had no need to.
Re: General Itunes Discussion
I dont think they will remove media player, lots of people still use it.
Re: General Itunes Discussion
microsoft has been talking about it since they removed almost all it's functionality Like DVD Playback and the data base for CD Info for Ripping CDs but itunes has been the go to for me as far as ripping goes
Re: General Itunes Discussion
Yes but people.generally dont want to install itunes to do something a program built into the operating system can do.
If they try to kill it completely, they will face the wrath of the internet like they did with paint.

Re: General Itunes Discussion
then again what good is media player if it's losing functionality dvd playback and the Data base to find the album info in my eyes it's been long dead in windows since 8.1 itunes is now seeing most of the market share while windows own media players share has dropped.
Re: General Itunes Discussion
Still good for playing audio tracks and ripping/burning cds

Re: General Itunes Discussion
it's actually useless with ripping CDs cuz the data Base server has been shut down by microsoft and alot of times it don't get things right anyways they had the data base server to get album art has been shutdown for 3 years now and i don't see microsoft bringing that back anytime soon itunes is the way to go since apple has not killed off that functionality like microsoft did with media player 12 and is why i don't use it anymore so i stuck to itunes for ripping.
Re: General Itunes Discussion
i really don't think people would miss media Player that much i really wouldn't if it was gone yes it was a good media player built into windows since XP and 7 days but now it really don't have much ground to stand on and alot of the functionality was stripped away when windows 10 came out and even before that with windows 8.1 media player in away is an old dinosaur of a player to be kept around and has not been updated in years and is why microsoft is trying to get rid of it fully this is why we have 3rd party players like VLC and Itunes to take care of things now.tester12 wrote:Yes but people.generally dont want to install itunes to do something a program built into the operating system can do.
