Re: General Itunes Discussion
I am just saying for people who want to play their music files or listen to cds, media player is perfect and people don't want to have to download other players if they don't have to.
Personally I wouldnt bother installing Itunes even if they killed Media Player because I don't like Apple.

Re: General Itunes Discussion
i started going back to windows media player due to the fact i don't like the folder structure when itunes rips CDs i have always liked media Player for the reason it keeps things in order artist wise itunes just messes it up and is why i uninstalled it a couple of days ago
Re: General Itunes Discussion
I do use Windows Media Player a lot but I only use iTunes for my iPod for making playlists on my iPod. The main ones I do use a lot are Windows Media Player and Spotify. Since all of my music was added on Spotify then I can make playlists on there and listen to them on there. Most of the time it is Windows Media Player where I can rip the CD's or play music or make playlists on there. I also do rip CD's on Windows Media Player to give to people I know then I can enjoy great music. But that is my thoughts

Re: General Itunes Discussion
ya i mainly use media player now cuz if my parents want me to put music on there flash drives cuz they use them for music in there cars cuz music over bluetooth in a car is very bad so that's why we still use the good old flash drive for music they can just plug it in and go you can't do that with the rips on itunes cuz half the files won't Play on there flash drives i end up ripping CDs in 320kbps 44.100Hz so i do the best when i rip CD
Re: General Itunes Discussion
I was just wondering what people primarily use it for these days. I haven't used it for over 6 or 7 years and I know back when I did they were pushing pretty heavily for people to buy music from them.
Re: General Itunes Discussion
i know i have never bought any music from itunes but my cousin's son has back in 2010-2012 tho i never really bothered with it i was basically a media player user back in those days and still am a Little bit.
Re: General Itunes Discussion
You can pay for Apple Music and listen to whatever songs you want on there after downloading them. I would rather just stick with Spotify to stream my favorite songs on there. I only get iTunes cards when do want to buy singles or albums from iTunes. I have had a account on there for a long time too. It does go onto icloud on my phone then I can download them on my phone into a playlist. I can also connect my phone to my stereo with bluetooth to play music from my icloud. That is more of my thoughts there

Oh ok cool. So all you use it for is to rip music from cds?
Re: General Itunes Discussion
that's all i really use it for is to rip Cds other then that i don't really play anything in it the only reason why i have it is cuz the rip speeds are far better with the software and yes you can see what speed it's ripping at my drive get's up to about 35x rip speed if the CD isn't scratched also it does the right mp3 tags from the correct albums even that's why i went back to using it
Re: General Itunes Discussion
I am surprised it rips faster. Knowing Apple I would have thought it would have been slower .
Re: General Itunes Discussion
nope it rips fast it kind of shocks me it's much faster then media Player

It doesn't help that media player isn't updated as much, if at all anymore.

That is shocking. I usually rip my CD's in Windows Media Player. It does take a while but I am sure it would be a lot faster in iTunes

Re: General Itunes Discussion
i can rip a CD in under a Minute in itunes if a CD is not scratched that is then it takes longer if it is windows media Player at times does not know what the speed of your drive is when it comes to ripping or burning to a CD so i kind of like itunes in away cuz it shows your speed while ripping my drive has gone up to 42x before while ripping a Disc it get's fast with the speed i would also point out each CD rips at about 35x to sometimes 42x so it does very from CD to CD so always watch out for that

Wow that is a real fast. I did rip a CD last night. It didn't take too long but I am sure if I would rip it on iTunes then it would have been a lot faster. But it is good it does detect the speed of your CD drive which does help it rip much faster
