Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
My favorite FM Station is also on AM, but the AM version isn't nearly as popular as the FM one.
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
most of the stuff i listen to if i do listen is on FM anyways i don't really have an antenna hooked up anymore my stereo is awesome cuz for FM i have a cable type of connection what you find on a TV but used for FM radio as well so i can actually take rabbit ears and use them on my stereo and it works
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
My mom listens to AM station called AM 1140. I usually listen to a FM station which is my local Christian radio station that is 88.9 Shine FM. That is the only FM station I do listen to

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
Been thinking about Brandon's question about having a favorite CBC Radio program for a while now actually, and it turns out that I do have a do have a few favorites. The are named below
The debaters
Vinyl Tap with Randy Bachman
The Vinyl Cafe with Stuart McClain
Richardson's Roundup (later shortened to The Roundup)
Unfortunately the last two programs have been taken off the air due to the illness of their host or programming changes made to the network. There were a few others but I can't think of their names at this time.

I also remember greatly enjoying a CBC radio shows called Sunday Showcase and a book-reading segment called Between The Covers. Sadly these shows have been taken off the air due to programming changes.

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
It seems my local Christian radio station is on AM and FM. AM is on 700 and FM is 88.9 but I usually listen it on FM on 88.9. But I don't listen to AM radio at all

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
alot of our station's went HD Radio around here there is not much of AM left here there is only a couple of station's on AM mostly talk but it's being Phased out by HD Radio that's why i can't pick station's up on my old onkyo system cuz it don't have an HD Radio tuner in it and my system only supported analog stations through Digital tuning since that's out now i can't pick up any station's even with an antenna for FM since it's no longer analog i would have to buy an HD Radio Tuner if i want to hear FM now and alot of cars now have HD Radio Tuners in them sucks how AM and FM has changed over the years
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
Well there is a way now with my local Christian radio station I can listen to it on the website or even on the app for the radio station. There is so many different ways to listen to the radio. I haven't listened to my local Christian radio station recently. Mostly just been String Ray Music on my cable with a Christian station called The Light

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
Yeah most stations either have their own app now, or use one called the Radio Pup App.
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
I did listen to my local radio station on Wednesday while driving out doing things and I did listen to it a little bit last night. But they do say they got a app to listen on your phone or even on the website. It seems it is way more advanced to listen to the radio different ways especially for FM stations like my local Christian radio station

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
That is cool Josh. My local radio Station has been pushing their app as well.
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
FM stations do app's and websites as well i think that's going to be the way to go you can now listen with your smart speakers too i think the way of radio is changing very soon it's going to be app based and it won't be broadcasted over the radio towers anymore.
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
Yes that is very true Aaron. I am sure I could do that on my blue tooth stereo in my room but I can also get radio on my stereo. I am sure it can work either way. I don't listen to the radio too often just some time soon

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
My local radio station used to partner with an app called Radio Pup before they finally created their own.
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
the classic rock station we have is on the tune In app and our amazon echo is used for that reason since we can't get a radio signal in this house let alone good cell service
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
it's not an analog signal anymore my system is not digital when it comes to the signal it has digital tuning not a digital signal since it's all HD radio now and my system from 2006 can't pick it up anymore i have to buy an HD Radio tuner my system don't have that built in kind of sucks my dads car has an HD Radio tuner in it and his car picks up the signal so
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
There is another thing I found when 88.9 Shine FM that you can text a song to their phone number and they can see the song request and play it. I thought that was cool even though I haven't listened to 88.9 Shine FM in a long time. I listen to a random song on my stereo when switching it from bluetooth to CD to the radio. But that is only because I am getting it back to the AUX setting for my iPod. The last time I listen to the radio was a couple weeks again ago. It had to be back in January some time. I don't listen to the radio too often just some times

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
Yeah, unfortunately my local fm radio station does not take requests except for when they are trying to get donations for a charitable cause or something, then they do the whole pay to play type of thing.
The overnight DJ does take requests, but I hear the phones are usually so backlogged you can't really get through.

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
our station's here take requests they do that everyday not just what you mentioned there Brandon any radio station here in the Valley will do requests of songs 99.9% of the time when a DJ is on duty the other % is late at night when it's just automation with no DJ there.
