Favorite AM Radio Stations?

Everyone can post there favorite AM Radio Stations here, there are a lot of sports stations, news stations and even a few music ones as well.

Which ones do you like?

Yes it is good I can get a good signal in my bed room on my stereo. It got a good signal in my city. I don't listen to 88.9 Shine FM too often just some times. The last time I did listen to it was last year. A little bit yesterday but that was only because I was switching back to Aux on my stereo. It can also listen to it online through the website if I want to and I am sure they got a app to listen to on your phone too

i can't get a signal in my house we can only get the radio on our smart speaker now cuz they have Tune in Radio so we just do that for the radio and most FM stations are on Tune in so not a big deal

There are still some AM Radio stations in Winnipeg, Canada as of 4:35PM CST on 1/9/2021 but such is a situation that is quickly dying.

Well I don't listen to the radio very much at all. It mostly some times. Today it was just music on iCloud on my phone through Bluetooth on my stereo. I also been listening to a lot of great music on Spotifty apart from the annoying ads but I get through it. I also got a big music collection to listen to in CD's and digital music and so on

Well with all our shows that we do radio is slowly becoming a thing of the past even if we do it as a hobby

I would listen to a Winnipeg-based FM radio station called 94.3 The Drive a lot but have chosen to not use it for anything other than a morning wake-up alarm now, seeing as the station has allowed itself to become another brainwashed mouthpiece for the Canadian government (in regards to all of the health-related BS in the world at present, which I am NOT a fan of).

I haven't listened to the radio in a very long time now. I know there is a lot of great music on Shine FM 88.9 in my city in Canada. Just don't have much time to listen to the radio any more. I do agree with Aaron as it is just a hobby to listen to a radio station when ever it may be

Yeah I couldn't imagine having a career in radio these days, these days most are there to read traffic and weather, do the sponsorship read offs and do pre-recorded segments to take up time. But they usually can not even choose the music, as it is all pre selected and auto qued up by the higher ups.

Well not that many people listen to the radio unless they are driving some where. It is hard to do that with the hard times we are going through right now. I am sure internet radio is doing much better than actual radio stations. Still I haven't listened to any radio stations in a very long time. If O do take a road trip to see family I usually make a very long playlist on my iPod and listen to that the whole way there and on the way back apart from making a stop to stretch the legs. That is about it. Most of the time it is my own music or Spotify or videos on YouTube. Listen to radio stations seems to be a thing of the past now

That is very true Arthur. I am sick of it too. That is why I don't listen to the radio at all. I only mostly listened it for the radio singles but I have heard most of them already. I got lots of other ways to listen to music which is YouTube, Spotify, my own music, CD's. and my iPod too

I usually try to only to listen Spotify on my drive to work, since I know all the tunes on my playlist are good ones .

I've given up on AM radio altogether now, but have been able to find at least one radio station that broadcasts on this as well as the FM band.

I don't listen to AM radio at all just some times. It is mostly FM radio which I get a chance to. I do listen to a lot of Spotify when I am making playlists for my shows on Sunday. The rest of the time it can be on YouTube, my iPod, or Bluetooth on my phone through the stereo in my room, or a CD in the CD player in my stereo or even on the DVD player. I do listen to String Ray The Light some times but I have heard most of those songs already

Radio in it's self is a thing of the past including AM and FM alot of stations have web streaming now and that's much better and our classic rock station now has there own App for Android and IOS so not many people listen in there cars anymore unless it's through an app through bluetooth.

It seems radio stations are doing that with apps or listening online on their website. I am sure people don't listen to the radio very often unless they are driving some where. But most of the times on a road trip I would make a long playlist on my iPod and listen to that on the road trip and back home again. Radio is mostly radio singles played over and over again. There is String Ray Music The Light I do listen to some times but it mostly plays about the same kind of music that my local Christian radio station would play with very short ads on there. But I haven't listened to the radio in a long time

i use to listen to the radio alot when i was younger when radio was great and it wasn't like it is now those where the best days in radio mid 1980s through the 1990s good times

Due to all of the BS that's in the world at present, I have opted to keep ALL of the radios in my bedroom turned off. Such will CONTINUE to be the case until said BS stops.

yes we get it art but this discussion has nothing to do with the BS going on it's more about Radio as it is not with the current things going on.

As I mentioned earlier on in this thread, I no longer have any favorite AM radio stations due to EMF interference from my computer.

I do get the situation with Arthur with these new radio stations that have all of the bad news to listen to all day and night long. That is why I don't listen to those radio stations at all. I haven't even listen to my local Christian radio station which is 88.9 Shine FM in a long time. I got many other ways to listen to besides the radio. There is also so many ways to listen to radio now as it can be online on their websites for these radio stations. I don't listen to AM radio stations at all but it is mostly FM stations if I do listen to the radio which is rarely

I still say that its better for one to keep their radio turned off until ALL of the BS in the world goes away.

i don't think the BS will go away anytime soon i don't really listen to radio much anymore.

I don't think anything in the world right now will go away. We just got to wait and see what happens next. That is all we can do. Anyways I don't listen to any radio stations at all. I am sure it is good to listen to the radio but I just got no time to listen to radio any more

I will admit that I was a fan of CBC Radio on the AM dial for quite a while, but was forced to switch my radio to the FM version of its AM signal due to EMF interference from my computer. As a result of all the world's current events however, I have kept this radio turned off (its been off for exactly ONE year now btw).
