Favorite AM Radio Stations?

Everyone can post there favorite AM Radio Stations here, there are a lot of sports stations, news stations and even a few music ones as well.

Which ones do you like?

That is cool Arthur but it seems you have kept any radio off for now with what is going on the world. I don't listen to the radio at all. If I did it would be my local Christian radio station which is 89.9 Shine FM. I haven't listened to that station in a long time but it does play a lot of good Christian singles in Christian Music when I do listen to it

I don't listen to AM Radio at all. As I said in my last post I do listen to my local Christian radio station on FM some times. Most of time it is on Spotify, String Ray Music The Light (On My Cable) , CD's, iCloud on my phone on the blue tooth stereo in my room, and also my own music on the laptop or iPod. That is about it since I don't listen to radio stations at all any more

My radio remains off at this time (8:55PM CDST on 5/19/2021) due to all of the BS in the world which, frustratingly, isn't going away.

i don't really listen to the radio at all much anymore unless it's in the car.

I haven't listened to any radio stations in a very time. The last time was a very long time ago. I haven't listened to any radio stations recently

I did listen to a re-broadcast of a show called Vinyl Café on CBC recently but turned my radio off as soon as the program was finished. This radio has remained off ever since.

Unfortunately traditional radio is suffering now that a thing called internet radio exists.

Yes there is a lot of internet radio stations out there and I know local radio stations are suffering unless they are playing the radio on the internet then I am sure they aren't doing too bad at all

All forms of radio have been suffering in the wake of cheaper and more widerange Web advertising, however, many local businesses do still use internet radio since it is more locally condensed to the customers in their area, yet much cheaper than tv ads.

My local Christian radio station does that along with the other radio stations in my city. I do only listen to 88.9 Shine FM as it is my local Christian radio station. I haven't listened to it recently but it does play a lot of great music on it

I believe the only Christian station around here is publicly funded through donations, I think I read somewhere a few years ago they almost shut down due to almost coming up short of the money they needed to pay the essential bills. In the end, on either the 2nd to last day or last of fundraising, they managed to get just enough to keep operating until the next year's fundraiser.

It seems my local Christian radio station is still going well but it has more than one station other places in the same province I live in Canada. Probably gets a lot of listeners and support from the listeners. I haven't listened to it in a long time. It does have a lot of great music but still it just Christian radio singles. It is sad when Christian radio stations got to shut down when they get no donations at all but it does happen

i think we only have one Christian Station here in the Valley but haven't really listened to it.

My Canadian city may have a Christian radio station, but I'm not too sure at present.

Well I haven't listened to my local Christian radio station called 88.9 Shine FM in a long time. I usually skip over it on my stereo in my room when switching over from Bluetooth to CD then Radio then Aux. I only listen to it for a short second then switch to AUX. It does play a lot of great music apart from ads but I just haven't listened to it in a long time

Admittedly i used to really enjoy a radio station called Fab 94.3FM for quite some time and stuck with them trough at least one format change (which created a station called 94.3 The Drive). This has since changed to (94.3 NOW) but I 100% REFUSE to support this new station. While my bedside alarm clock is currently set to a station called 92.1 CITI FM, I usually listen to one called 99.1 PEG FM in the car. I no longer listen to the AM dial as all of the music stations don't use this anymore.

Sounds like a lot of different radio stations there. I do listen to all of the Shine FM stations here when I can including my home city. I do have other ways of listening to music on my iPhone 8 through what music I have bought in playlists or going through the artists. Also with making playlists on my iPod to listen to. I do a lot of different playlists including a playlist for a road trip if it does happen. I don't listen to the radio too often just some times

The station known as Fab 94.3 used to play music from the 1960s and 1970s, while 94.3 The Drive focused on music from the 1970's and 1980s. The latest incarnation of this radio station only goes back as far as the 1980s music-wise, and that's why I have chosen to not support it.

I've mentioned this before but I no longer have a favorite AM radio station as most of the good ones are on the FM dial now. I will also admit that, due to all of the BS in the world at present, I don't listen to the radio a lot anymore.

I don't listen to the radio at all if it is AM or FM. I got lots of ways to listen to music with no ads on the radio along with the usual radio singles that are being played

As of 9:20AM CST on 2/13/2023, the larger of the two radios in my bedroom remains off. Tbh such is the case because I have kept it tuned to a radio station that I call Canada's Liebral Propaganda Machine. As for the other radio, I don't listen to it much either as its primary role is an alarm clock that gets me up in the mornings.

Just letting you all know that, as of 10:05AM CST on 5/9/2023, the large black radio in my bedroom continues to remain turned off. I will admit that I haven't had a favorite AM radio station for many years now.
