Train sets!

that is a matter of discretion, but so far it's been my old house, my current job, and my trains

Used to the track? How do you break it in? Set it in a track not used that often and run a train slowly over it? I know when you switch tracks you have to start with 1 engine and run it slow the first 2 times around and begin to speed it up slowly every 2. That is just so we can find any weak spots in the tracks that can potienially cause a problem. That and to get the tracks greased properly to the train wheels, then I usually start loading more cars on and do a slow speed.

no need to grease them at all, the locomotive gears of today's locos are the only parts that need grease. but the turn table is now working at least 98% so it's a good sign of things to come

There seems to be an issue with the electrical power on the turntable bridge. but all three of us (myself, MTV and our father) are working it out as quickly as possible. I suspect that the material its made of is responsible for this problem, but such can't be changed.

What is your plan to fix it then? If the material is built in?

it's an electrical issue, so we have to solve that as soon as we can

How are you going to solve it?

I hope it will get fixed some how

I meant if the matieral turns out to be causing the problem, do you have a workaround ready?

it's an electrical problem, not the materials, because the power is not getting to where it needs to be

Any specific reason why? Any particular hazards or blocks?

The turntable has been solved now, such was a wiring issue. The final phase of construction hasn't started yet however, and its anyone's guess as to when it will.

just the final part of the phase construction, and the turn table still has some electrical issues to be solved

just a part of the setup we are building in 2 parts, and have started part 2 of the section construction

Do you mean 2 seperate tracks? If so then the turntable makes sense since that is what it would come in handy for. Or do you mean a seperate train set altogether.

the turn table is the part of the 2nd phase, now the plan is for the 2nd part of the construction

I I meant are you planning on having to active lines working at once? Is that the 2nd phase?

no, an upper and lower level on the 2nd phase

Upper and lower levels? Now you have lost me!

such is the plan that our dad (mine and MTV's, that is) has chosen. so far we have the main level completed. Work is progressing on the upper level at this time.

What does upper level mean though? Hang tracks from the cieling?

it means a 2nd level of tracks, but the hard part is making the risers to get access
