webcam mic?

First topic message reminder :

does anyone , besides me use a webcam mic? and will a headseat mic work alongside? i ma sking because i am curious to know as i wish to try something on a show of mine sometime soon

My old win 98 PC could support web browsing, but it was very slow, so it is possible to surf the web on the win 98 OS, but it would be unlikely to use a webcam on it, XP however was capable of supporting a webcam, if only to a small degree.

As I said... While you may be able to browse the web pysichally.. You be able to do much (it will lack a good flash player and so if you think about all the things on the web that use flash you wont get far), you wont be able to use any site that has advanced features like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Kageshi, Ustream, Justcast, ivlog, etc. Virtually nothing would work properly. So while you can browse the web, it would be like going to the kageshi website, but none of the chatroom or features of the site work. It defeats the purpose. That is all I meant.

still, it was possible to perform web browsing on Win 98, but that's straying frm the point of this thread

I know that, just have to think how much the internet has changed the capabilites needed to properly enjoy it.

Anyway most webcams are usb and have internal, built in microphones.

Most webcams are about the same. There really are no 'low' end ones nowadays.

It's actually not. I have never found a webcam in a store that wasn't USB or didn't have a microphone built in.
