What kind of microphone do you use?

Hello everyone,

I would like to hear about what microphone you use, which ones you have used in the past and what is your favorite one?

i use the mic on my headset

I use a wireless, microphone headset. A logitech one I got on clearance for 30 bucks at Walmart, works really well. Range is pretty decent as well.

At the present time, I use an APEX440 USB mic. I may have to replace it soon though, as its begun to start wearing out.

I use to just use my webcam mic when I live streamed a few years ago.

I have since given up the APEX 440, but use the mic that came with my Logitech G320 headset.

Why? the mic on my G320 headset works perfectly

I use a Shure SM48 dynamic vocal Microphone for shows

As of 1/10/2020, I do not have a mic for use in my BGRN shows (as my win10 machine doesn't recognize the mic on my G320 headset).

I just recently picked up a used Tonnor BM 700 for $10 with  a metal swing boom, cable and 2 pop filters. It's a cheap Chinese microphone, but it sound better than my headset mic.  Until i decide if i'm gonna commit to broadcasting or not.

Not a bad deal for for $10 bucks, i think the mic boom is worth that much, hell the microphone cable itself is worth that much.

Does that model work well?

Yes very well, and that is just using the Xlr to Pc jack plug.  I've heard and seen on some Youtube video the microphone works better with one of those phantom power boxes.  Which i might end up ordering soon.

i have a mixer that uses phantom power but it's not hooked up plus i don't have any mics that use phantom Power so all i have is Dynamic mics

Update, the Microphone, i mentioned above works extremely well with my new mixer board with phantom power.  Very clear and pics up very well.  Not bad for $10 bucks.

I plan to order @TigerTankFan the same kind of mic I have soon, so that he can start talking during shows again .

then art has to be reminded to charge it before every show he tends to forget so please do remind him that those headsets require to be recharged every couple of shows no matter how good the battery is on those now me on the other hand you wouldn't catch me ever using a wireless headset me personally i would forget to charge it so i kind of say away from anything wireless

SHouldn't be too hard, or brandon can get him a wired pair?

I already have a USB headset with a mic on it (another Logitech one) but nobody could hear the music when I used this. This forced me to start using my older Logitech G320 headset. I'm looking forward to receiving this package though.

Good thing Brandon is getting it for you, this way you can retire the old ones.

will have to see how long it takes for art to receive it Canadian Post kind of sucks in Canada it took him a long time to get a shirt from BGRN so i'm going to bet that something electronic is going to take a while too.

That is so true, it has to clear customs and everything.
