Train sets!

First topic message reminder :

i am also still looking for some more cylindrical grain hoppers, and also anything of interest in the way of model buildings and track-side scenery, so feel free to offer some up if you have any laying about or know how to come about them

the new cylindrical grain hopper will be the last one for TTFan, but i am seeking a few more

still also waiting for my other two cylindrical hoppers to get back up

am also looking for some cut stone double track tunnel portals, a pulpwood load for some of my bulkhead flatcars, and as many round hay bales as possible

Well there is no reason to post in it right now, as your train set hasnt been rebuilt yet. Nothing really to talk about until then.

ergo the strong support to lock this topic, still also hoping the BS train length and weight rules are going to be tossed out, as i refuse to operate with them in place, and my equipment will remain boxed up.

Topic doesnt need to be locked for you to not post in it until the new set up is done.

why keep it unlocked when there's no new posts? and like i said, i may not even use the new set if the garbage rules about train length and weight are put into place #hellomiserablewinteragain

There are plenty of topics on this forum that don't get posted in (which is part of our problem), that doesn't mean we lock them all.

The plan is to rebuild your train set, when thats done, you can post in here again, until then, why cant it remain unlocked but not posted in?

it doesn't make sense to leave it open when there's no one posting, but if it's your final call @Brandon, there's nothing i can do to change your mind #miserablewinter2018

@tigertankfan will soon have one of his inactive cylindrical covered hoppers active, but both of mine still have to wait, also still looking for some cut stone double track tunnel portals. @djmarverlousmart has a lead on the round hay bales, so they are sorted, but i now need another flatcar to haul them, which any of you are free to contribute if you wish as long as it is HO scale and a good quality one, the brands i will accept are Accurail Walthers, Athearn and roundhouse/mdc. there are plenty to be found on ebay if you have the time, the cash and a desire to see the train set of @tigertankfan and i to expand

back to the foot dragging again, sadly, this all could have been avoided

black ACF hopper of mine is now ready to roll

still waiting on some coupler springs and more couplers from @djmarverlousmart

hello all, TigerTankFan here again...

The knuckle couplers have arrived but no knuckle springs as yet. There is no sign of my new cylindrical hopper either, but only because mart hasn't sent it (due to a severe lack of funds).

No duh on that one, mtv. Plus I'm not in a hurry anyway (seeing as the matter of me upgrading to the windows 10 computer operating system being the no.1 priority for me at present).

now if only the building of the train set could start without any more delay

All we can do is wait and see what happens on that, as building the new setup still isn't a top priority.

foot dragging is not helping anything, the only way to get things done is to get started. i'm SICK of all the waiting

The new setup will be built once the site has been fully cleared. And this has to wait until the person interested in acquiring the other dresser that currently remains in this space can stop by and collect it. Also, as mentioned earlier, I have some computer-related priorities to look after as well.

still SICK of the foot dragging, the sooner the clearing is done,the SOONER the construction can begin, at this rate it will be spring 2019 before ANY benchwork is remotely in place, winter misery continues
