Favorite microphone brand?

Just a general question; what is your preferred brand for microphones?

I'll say the obvious pick; Shure. But I do like Yoga, too.

Well I have used a couple logitechs. Those did do great for the job they were bought for and for the price paid for them. I am sure there are better out there though, I just have not tried them.

I suppose that's one way to put it. I also have had good experiences with Logitech microphones as well LG microphones and various other smaller, cheaper brands and companies. Most of the ones I have used can be found at Walmart.

be careful with the cheaper ones, they are built cheap and may break or stop working a lot sooner

You get what you pay for when it comes to techonology. Depeding on what you need them to do, the cheap ones sometimes are the best and will get the job done.

just a word of warning is all, make sure you buy one that is reliable for what you need it to do for not a lot of money

That is the name of the game, getting the most bang for your buck. Especially if there is limited budgets involved.

Yeah logitech is a good brand! Make decent microphones for an affordable price.

both of my Logitech webcams have integral microphones

I highly recommend Shure SM-58s. For a fairly low price, you get great quality!

There are other awesome brands out there as well, though thdy are a bit more costly. If you have the money to invest in one of them though, they can be worth it.

I meant like professionalish radio stations/radio shows or large family owned stuff, there are more advanced and better brands out there that can be used, although they are more pricey, for a small little radio stations and above with some form of funding can easily afford. Not talking about a person doing webcasts and live streaming from their house or something.

Wasn't disputing that, but I was also just saying there are better brands out there that offer higher quality for a higher price. Logitech is a great brand, especially for the price, but if one can afford it, they do have more advanced brands that are worth looking into.

Not real radio stations .

most of that equipment is paid for by the company that owns the radio station, so it's not a consideration
