Re: Train sets!
There already is one SD60M on this railroad actually, but I'm sure that former CN Rail 2448 will be happy to have a companion (regardless of their different cabs).

Re: Train sets!
SD60m's were made with two different cabs, they just have to work well, the cabs mean little to nothing as long as the locomotive works right, but yes, the one already on the roster will be happy to have some company once 5566 comes aboard

Re: Train sets!
According to Wikipedia, early SD60M's were equipped with a cab that had three front windows (also known as "the triclops"). Due to high production costs, later versions of this locomotive were fitted with a cab that had two front windows. Such also means that the noses of these units are different (the two window version has a taper nose), but the horsepower of these locomotives are the same.

Thanks for the info!

That's debatable mtvfan!
Re: Train sets!
the cab styles mean very little, a locomotive is built to work at a job, and that job must be done as much to the letter as possible, they are both wide cabs which means they can accommodate a lot more features not found on a standard cab SD60, on a different note, i have another new pic for you all.

Re: Train sets!
As I stated earlier, there isn't any change in performance between the early and late cab units but it does create some disagreements among locomotive enthusiasts.

it's still an S60M either way, so there's really no need for any disagreements

Re: Train sets!
Glad you like it Brandon, but I regret to inform you that I haven't been present for quite a few operation sessions lately. I keep meaning to try and rectify this but something keeps getting in the way.

Both mtv and I were able to score some videos today, but I'm sorry to say that a lack of video hosting services on here is keeping us from posting them.

Uh guys, there is Youtube, Dailymotion! What more do you want? This isn't a streaming service .
Re: Train sets!
I could be wrong on this, but one has to be a member of an online community in order to post videos (as far as youtube is concerned). I have no idea about Dailymotion, but I get "permission to store information" messages from that site so its not a place that I visit very often.
