Is Netflix worth it?

First topic message reminder :

Hello everyone,
I was just curious what everyone's indiviual  thoughts were on Netflix. Is it worth paying for NetFlix? I personally have no problem watching it on Youtube or waiting for it to come out in theaters and more often then not DVD. I  know they get the latest releases on stuff and everything, but is it really worth spending the money on getting and paying for it? What is everyone's thoughts?

Sounds like Canada needs to lower its copyright laws.

I for one am very doubtful that this will be happening anytime soon so anyone with a Netflix Canada account only has two choices.

A.) Try and be happy with what they get
or
B.) Cancel the account and find another way of watching tv.

looks like 1mtvfan has made his choice in regards to this matter. I have no issue with this but I really wish that he would stop disrespecting my home country.

I heard this in a newscast on CBC radio. I also read that its going into further debt to try and get more subscribers.

How recently did you hear that? I haven't heard anything like that so that is a shock to read that.

I think it was sometime in September, but I honestly don't know for sure as its not something that I follow too closely.

No problem! I need to investigate this as I love 1 show on Netflix and cannot lose that!

It's not company bankrupting type debt, it's more or less just money they are borrowing to keep producing more original content.

@DJAaronRadio do you have a Netflix subscription at all?

Most recent thing I've heard about Netflix is that they've added new content but increased their subscription prices.

Yes they increased it by a dollar or two I believe, but it likely won't go up any higher.

the only person that uses netflix in the house is my dad i do have a account profile on there but he still pays for everyone on there accounts so i could add what i want streaming wise if i wanted to but other then that i don't really use it.

I don't watch Netflix all that much to be honest. There is a couple shows I like on there such as Orange is the new black and a couple others that were cancelled I think. Occasionally I will watch a movie on it as well.

I am more of a Hulu person and I watch that one almost everyday.

we watch alot of movies on netflix and i think that's all we use it for they still have the mailing service to for blu-rays and DVDs if there is a movie that can't be streamed and it was the only way to get the movie there is that option too.

Really?? They still have a mail in service? I thought they killed that off.

nope they still have it we get blu-rays about every week cuz some movies are not streamable.
