Minor Updates, Features and upgrades

This thread will serve as a means for small updates and minor new features to the site. We will still have a separate announcement/topic for the big things. This is just for the things we do not need to create a separate announcement for.

Twitter share system has been activated on BD. This will allow users to share topics on BD via twitter .

Today we fixed a few capitalization, grammar and punction errors that were previously un noticed in a few sections of BD .

July 10th 2015-July 27th 2015


An issue with there being 2 facebook profile fields has been resolved and fixed.


New sections have been added such as a headset/headphones section and a couple older sections have been moved around such as the Audio Interfaces section, which is now its own section rather then a sub forum. Thanks to @pwnsomewin for both spotting the Facebook profile field issue and  for the wonderful suggestions .

I just upgraded our reputation system, now it will show the exact number of votes given to a post/user, the button has also been changed to a nice little microphone with a plus on it. This fits our forum nicely I feel. Even better yet, the negative votes has been disabled. I felt there was no need for a negative one, as it could be pretty mean and just overall not nessecary or needed.

Me too, thats why I took the liberty to use my magical powers to make it disappear from BD .

Hello everyone,

You may have noticed this already, but a few days ago I installed some temporary holiday decorations. One thats a count down to christmas and a snow one. The countdown to christmas one we will leave up until the end of Christmas day or the next day following. The snow one we will probably leave up until shortly after new years.

We hope you like the decorations and happy holidays from all of us here at Broadcasting Duo.

That is the only minor update to report for now.

Uvlog section is removed, due to the site closing its doors. A couple more minor updates may come later, if there are, they will be just adding some more icons to the sections that don't already have them and possibly correcting a few spellig/grammar errors in sections we spot any.

3 more broadcasting related emoticons/smilies have been added to the site. They are the final 3 in the list of available emotes (as seen in the screenshot below). We you guys like then and enjoy using them around the forums .

Yes indeed, please don't do that. Try not to over do it with the smilies as well, use them in moderation, so that there isnt a million smilies in one post.

We have used some site credits (or credits/money we can use to buy small little features, upgrades, expand our site bandwidth, storage capacity, remove copyrights, ads, etc) to remove the forumotion copyright links from the footer of the site for 1 year. Now the links on the bottom of the site will be alot less and won't have any forumotion links on it.

We still have site credits left and I am willing to spend them if there is anything you guys in the community here want (like ad removal, custom domain name, etc) and if there is anything my administration and staff would like to see them spent on. We are open to all suggestions and recommendations as to what to spend it on and if it possible to spend credits on it, my team will consider it, get together and discuss and if my team think we should spend the credits on something you guys suggest or recommend we spend them on, I will go ahead and spend them on whatever that thing may be.

Here is a couple screenshots to give you all a small comparison of the footer before we spent the credits and the footer after we spent the credits to remove the copyrights.

That is all the minor updates and new features to announce for now, but don't worry, we are planning and even working on a few other small features, updates and upgrades for you all in the coming year and we also have a plans for a couple big features that may come this year wt some point as well, so keep an eye on our announcements section and facebook page and group for those.
