Microsoft Debate Empty Re: Microsoft Debate

Post by TigerTankFan Thu 15 Jan 2015, 5:03 pm

If anyone is wondering, Windows 8 was originally intended for mobile devices but Microsoft had to develop the 8.1 patch because many people still use a desktop computer rather than a mobile device. Unfortunately there's going to be a time when support for win7 (which is what I'm using at present) will end, but I'm hoping that this doesn't happen anytime soon.

tech support will not end for win 7 for at least another year, as it is still quite popular, but that is straying from the topic, so, getting back to it, manycam has gotten to the point of being stupidly annoying, therefore, if you can live with the older versions, go for it.

My apologizes guys, this not really the thread for this topic, however I will split for you.  Very Happy

Also Microsoft Windows 8 was designed for 2 reasons, 1. As a mobile device operating system (for a pc as well) 2. To get into the app bussiness so they can compete with apple.

I haven't tried any of the new Windows including Windows 8 or 7. I have only used XP or Vista. Probably not much difference anyways. Not sure how they can get Windows on a phone unless it is set up that way.

Plus an extra cool thing they did with Windows 7 and not Vista is the fact that the task bar does not get filled up, so say you have 2 Firefox windows open, in Windows 7 it will appear as 1 icon. Go Windows 7 all way.

best software since XP by far! Doesn't everyone agree?

I think that this was a Windows XP thing, but the home version didn't have as many security issues as the pro version.

I am happy with Vista and it hasn't crashed yet. I am sure it would cost a good amount of money to get Windows 7. I would say if I did need to update I would go to Windows 7. I am just not ready to upgrade yet.

You already have Vista? We thought you still had xp. Vista (at least on my list) is still pretty new. Therefore you have a newer verision.

I used to have XP but not any more. I have been on Vista for a long time now. I haven't used any new version of Windows yet if it is 7 or 8. I am happy with Vista right now. Not sure what version of office I got but probably a older version of it.

Well Vista was pretty bad, Microsoft took the best of Vista and made it better to form Windows 7. The best verison since Windows 7.

I heard there was a Mircosoft 10 coming out. Not sure I will upgrade to that one but it seems my PC won't work for Windows 8 or higher than that.

Yes there is, they are offering those who upgrade the 1st year of the software for free. That was a move to compete with Apple and their free trials.
