MTV not Music TV anymore?

First topic message reminder :

Hello everyone,

Is it me or is Music TV (MTV) not MTV any more. They play once or twice at night only, they have a ton of drama shows, they should just change the channel's name and move on. Do not call it Music TV when you do not play music ON TV. What does everyone else think?

As there are still people supporting it, MTV's channel will not go away completely.

Well whether it does or it does not is irrelevant at this time, since it is still up. Now if it does go for the name change what should they re-name it? Any suggestions?

Well anyway, Mtv is not going to go anywhere for a LONG while.

My memory on this matter is quite fuzzy, but I think 1mtvfan chose his name because his was a fan of a show called "mtv live" (which has since been cancelled). As for the main issue, I agree that the MTV network will not be going away anytime soon.

It will go, all one has to do is turn it off, or cancel their subscription to it. The less viewers it gets, the sooner it goes off the air.

Such is just my opinion, but I think its pretty stupid for someone to cancel a cable TV subscription just to stop getting one channel. However, one could try and find a TV with a programmable V-chip installed.

Actually it is probably possible to call your provider and cancel 1 tv channel, but why go through all that. Will be on hold for 20 minutes!

that would very much depend on your provider, but most providers offer channels in packages, but as i said, one channel can be canceled.

That is obvious, I personally would not go through the hassle of cancelling 1 channel just because they do not play music. That is just my opinion though.

gotta ask yourself, do I want to try and cancel one channel or just try and avoid looking at it?
