Train sets!

i am also still looking for some more cylindrical grain hoppers, and also anything of interest in the way of model buildings and track-side scenery, so feel free to offer some up if you have any laying about or know how to come about them

have a feeling this day will be lost for work on the new train set as well, (Angry) and update, the Athearn soo line covered hopper @djmarverlousmart was looking at for me is no longer attainable for him, so i will have do without and look for another one.

further update, @djmarverlousmart has obtained that Athearn Soo line 54' covered hopper for me, which is SUPER AWESOME! and it means the lesser quality soo line hopper i have can be cast to the wind or to another person.
but this will be the last train item i will obtain from @Djmarverlousmart for 2018,as he has a request from @tigertankfan as well, which he is now working on.

even if it means the new bits will have to sit in their boxes because of the fact there will be no tracks for them to roll on for the remainder of this year and maybe even into next

Thanks for the updates there Charlie. It is still fall just too early for winter yet. But hopefully it will be going well before the end of fall into winter

Hello everyone,
Was doing some measurements today (11/8/2018) and made the following discoveries.

1.) The room designated for the new setup (which continues to make use the working title of Phoenix Line) is 25 feet long x 10 foot 10 inches wide.

2.) At some point in the past, this room was divided into a "Bedroom" area with dimensions of 10 feet, 4 inches long x 10 foot 10 inches wide & a "Main" section with dimensions of 15 feet long x 10 foot, 10 inches wide.

     Unfortunately there is a LOT of work left to be done (including the removal of a chest of drawers with a BIG mirror and a triple-door cabinet that's currently being used to store blankets) but getting the measurements of the room is a step forward.

Tried to get some action on building the new setup started today (11/9/2018) but the cruel, heartless and selfish governess called life chose to step in and play control freak on me. So, much to my frustration, this particular situation remains no further along.

There's been some action as to this matter today (11/10/2018), but its not a super big deal as prep work for repainting at least one part of the attic space that was designated as layout space has commenced. Unfortunately, its still VERY early days and I have no further information to share at this time. I will do my very best to keep you all informed about this matter however.

Unfortunately I have very noticeable doubt about this but every possible effort is being made to accomplish this task.

Unfortunately the repainting work remains stalled at present due to priorities related to computer & life issues.

Just wanted everyone to know that some painting work has started (as of 11:40am CST on 11/14/2018) but its very slow going as the father of 1mtvfan & myself is not a big fan of house painting.

Work to apply the first coat of white paint has been completed. There is still more work to be done however, and it will take time to complete as the father of myself & 1mtvfan has a number of other life priorities to focus on as of late (and this includes me and 1mtvfan's upcoming 38th birthday).

Just wanted to say that the paintwork continues but myself and my dad are trying to get a few ideas for a usable track plan from the many model train-related magazines that I have.

Phase I of the paintwork (applying primer) has been completed now folks but the priorities of life are making it hard to get Phase II started.

I do my best on this matter. The final color has now been chosen too actually, but my dad is in his early 70's now and has started to slow down in terms of physical activity and isn't a big fan of house painting.

If anyone wants to know, Phase I of the attic space ceiling repaint has been completed. Phase II of this has yet to start but will be soon. Unfortunately a strike at Canada Post has made it impossible for DJ Marvelous Mart to send us the two hopper cars that he got for 1mtvfan & myself, but the both of us are trying to be hopeful that this strike ends as soon as possible.
