Train sets!

i am also still looking for some more cylindrical grain hoppers, and also anything of interest in the way of model buildings and track-side scenery, so feel free to offer some up if you have any laying about or know how to come about them

doesn't mean a thing, plenty of others will comment on this thread besides me, even if it is few and far between, if TTfan refuses to make an effort to contribute to dismantling the layout, i remain committed to my sitting out, excuses don't get anything done. our dad can dismantle the layout on his own from this point on, and i also remain committed to a complete boycott of the new layout should it be below my tastes. too late now, TTfan has made his choice, maybe it's time to lock this thread and keep it locked for a while, and i am thinking that i will put all of my train equipment into a big box and hide that box in a dark corner of my closet for a while also

i see no point in keeping it open if the posts here are going to be few and far between from now on

Hello again everyone,

I have reconsidered my decision to withdraw from this thread (as the move was done out of anger and frustration), but my posts in it will be somewhat infrequent from now on. I've decided to do this because I'm making a concentrated effort to avoid another argument with my brother (which could endanger the future of this thread).

well, my recommendation to lock this thread is still up for consideration if it needs to be done

Locking is not needed. Just get along, post about the train set when you can and all will be good.

According to the father of myself & 1mtvfan (who vistied the site on 11/30/2017) the roadbed has been removed from the setup's construction phases 1 (the two main track loops and staging yards), 2A (the grain elevator and related storage yard) and 2B (the lower loop & turntable). A large volume of roadbed currently remains but it will most likely be pulled up by the start of February 2018.

the tabletops for the layout are also being removed as they are cleared of track and track bed.

phase2a was the turn table, grain elevator spurs, and lower loop,and container yard 2, Phase 2 b was the upper lines, but they have now all been removed. RIP liptonville

still don't know how everything will fit onto the new layout, or if i will be a part of the new layout. landscaping issue was bad enough and cost me 2 summers of fun, but still, RIP liptonville

Have to say that I'm annoyed to see that 1mtvfan has brought the "landscaping" and "summer sit-out" issues again (as I've explained both of them at least twice already), but I won't let myself be triggered by them. Instead I will say that deconstruction of the setup continues at this time, and will be a project for the rest of winter 2017.

It doesnt really matter now, your old train set is being dis mantled and the other one will be made. You can address the landscape issue once the new one is up.

well yes, but it's still something i find very distressing to have to deal with

I agree with you Brandon, but seeing the setup get taken down is very sad situation. I for one will miss it but I also know that such can't be helped.

As far as I know, there is only 20-25% of the setup that remains standing as of today (12/4/2017). I could be wrong about this however, as I haven't paid it a visit for a while now.

Once again I find myself making an effort to explain the situation to 1mtvfan. If you are wanting to continue participating in the deconstruction of the LCVRR, u need to make our father know that you want to do this as he doesn't know otherwise. I also need to admit that I'm doubtful that there's too much of it left now but I could be wrong as I haven't been to visit it in almost a month now.
