Re: Mics, Mixers
I unfornatelly never got for enough into live streaming to warrant getting a mixing board or sound board, but I think they definitelly look cool and therr are alot of good and affordable ones out there.
As far as Microphones goes, I have only ever owned a few headset microphones, a couple from Logitech, one from GE and one that was some other cheap mircophobe headset with by a company that isnt really well known and that I cant even remmeber the name of . Aside from these, there has only been good old fashioned webcam mics that I have used.
I look forward to hearing what the rest of you all have used and still use.

I also have had alot of logitech headset microphones and microphones. I have also had a couple headset microphones from GE and one or two off brands. The vast majority of my microphones have logitech headset microphone that you can buy at your local walmart or bestbuy or something.
I have not owned a mixer, primarily because of lack of money previously, but I hope at some point in the near future, I can try and get one, along with another microphone now that I have more funds at my disposal .

logitech is good for cams and mics, but a mixer may cost one a lot more

Blows up? It is not a bomb or something, it will not explode.

Believe it or not there are some decent quality mixers from well known companies that are a hundred bucks, you just gotta know where to look. I think it would be hard to overload a mixer, unless your hooking a million different things to it.
Many sound boards/mixing boards can come with varying amount of channels, the more channels, the more things the mixer/sound board can toggle at once. Without getting over stressed or overloaded. What your saying could only really happen if you have say 4 or 5 things hooked up to say a 2 or 3 channel mixer or sound board. If the mixer or sound board is only built to handle 2 or 3 things at once, you hook up more then that to it and you put the mixer or sound board at risk of getting worn out or quitting due to overload, so I get what your saying, but one should know the limitations of their sound board/mixing board and not hook more things then what it was designed to handle.

Re: Mics, Mixers
well, i meant everything electrical does have a power load limit, and if you're over that limit, the device will give out if it cannot handle the power load, that's all i meant

Re: Mics, Mixers
I currently do not have a mixing board but I use a somewhat old APEX440 USB condenser mic for my BGRN shows and Skype. This was meant for use by my other brother but he never used it.
