What kind of phone do you have?

I have Motorola Moto G, 1st generation.

Slightly off-topic here, but I am getting a new case for my iPhone 5c phone in the next month or so.

Didn't they start supporting the 5c a couple of years ago?

I honestly don't know when support for the iPhone 5 started but I do know that anything below iPhone 6 is no longer supported.

well the iphone 5c is no longer supported and the iphone4 is no longer supported iphone 5s is the only one left on extended support there art anything below the 5s is no longer supported i have a small little app on my mac called mactracker the shows what devices are still in support and it shows what ones are in support neat little mac App

I can understand why people choose to hang on to their old iphones past the support date though, because the new Iphones are absurdly expensive.

Something else that has an effect on iPhone sales is the discontinued headphone jack, which a LOT of people don't like. I honestly don't know for sure but the wireless headsets that apple produces are crap because their electrical charge lasts for less than a day.

That is common among even the best wireless headphones though. Most have a battery that lasts less than 16 hours at the most.

The main problem people have with it is 2 things:

1. Cost, a pair of wireless headphones that have a battery life longer than 4 or 5 hours are going to cost around 20 to 30 bucks at the cheapest, whereas a wired pair of headphones can go anywhere from 5 dollars to 30 dollars and you don't have to charge it at all. Plus the quality is usually a little bit better with wired ones then wireless ones anyway.

2. It's not hard for Apple to include a headphone jack, they could put it back in with little cost anytime they want to, they just dont want to. It's a money maker for them, so they can push their adapters and Airpods, which make up a significant amount of sales these days.

Bottom line is, people just don't like being forced to go wireless when they are paying upwards of a grand for a phone, they should have the choice to use wired headphones without buying adapters if they want to.

Thanks for the suggestion Aaron. Not sure what I am going with yet. I still got the iPhone 4. Not sure if I will be going to iPhone 5 or higher than that. But I am sure there wasn't any support for iPhone 4 since or even iPhone 5 unless they are doing that for the newer versions of phones. But some of these new phones are so big. But it seems that is how they are looking now. I do use some apps on my phone right now but I don't use a lot of apps. But I am sure that will change when I do upgrade my phone when ever that may be

Yes Apple makes them huge these days. Of course there are Android devices that have 4.5 or 5 inch screens though.

5s is definitelly better than the 5c.

Many believe the 5c was the worst iphone ever as well.

I don't like Android phones at all. They are too confusing. I will still with iPhone when I do upgrade my iPhone 4. It could be a higher version of iPhone just not the newest version of iPhone. Not sure if iPhone 5 would be a good suggestion. I would say iPhone 6 or 7 could be a good choice too. I don't use my phone for much just using apps on there and playing music on my stereo through bluetooth. I also do use it to make phone calls too. But that is all I mostly use it for. I would do the same thing on upgrade I would get. But I did see that Telus was offering a upgrade of iPhone 7 and not sure if that will be one I will take or not. That is just my thoughts

i have been using my 5s for about a year now and i love it i use to hate it at first but i got use to it i'm now on the latest update of IOS that came out i'm on 12.1.4 of IOS so it has come along way since the release of IOS 12.

I think we should make this into a separate topic.
