Train sets!

Wow! Your dad was the builder the whole time! Wow never would have known. You all made it sound like you hired so 3rd party builder .

well, ttfan and i did help to build it as well, but the majority of the construcion was our dad, although i played a part in the engine creeper

I reluctantly have to admit that the warped drop bridge has made it impossible for anyone to operate a train on the setup now, and nobody has paid it a visit in about two weeks now. I've been thinking about making an attempt on this at some point, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

once our dad gets over his shock issue, the drop bridge issue will be addressed, but the first step will be adding a plank under it to try and straighten the bridge, but if that does not work, the bridge will be replaced completely

How did your Dad go into shock anyway? If you don't mind me asking?

he has suffered a rather serious injury at his summer work, and had no idea of it, so he only found out once the shock set in.

Anyway, as one of the only people around here who can grant occasional exceptions now and them to certain things, let me use such power to say that we can consider the subject of your Dad the builder, an expection, discussion about him, in this topic is no longer considered off topic.

hello everyone! 1mtvfan and I are back from our trip now, and it went well (even though the weather wasn't cooperating). Unfortunately there are no developments to report here, but I for one plan on trying to visit the set-up at some point in the near future and see if I can get an operating session in the books.
