Broadcasting Duo Announcement!

Hello Broadcasting Duo users,
We here at Broadcasting Duo are proud to announce the newest Broadcasting Duo feature/perk: Member of the month, this is a minor feature that the staff at Broadcasting Duo have been working hard to establish and come up with.

You may be asking "What is Member Of The Month?".

The answer: Member of the month is a new way for us here at Broadcasting Duo to try to get members and staff to post and remain active.

What do you get if you become Member Of The Month?

The current perks are:
-Get this rank under your username:
Member of the month Motm_c10

-Get your username listed in a topic that has all the members who have gotten Member of the month.
-This is also going to be used as a tool for if and when we consider members to give VIP Status to based acitivy, contributions, etc. By getting member of the month one or times, you will more likely be considered (though not garunteed) for VIP Status.
-Be able to embed your live stream and/or shoutcast server into a topic on Broadcasting Duo.

Who can be Member Of The Month?

Any member or member is eligible to be Member Of The Month, all members will be considered for member of the month by staff, the staff will be using a set of criteria as a GUIDE to see who best deserves Member Of the month for that month.

The creteria is:

Member of the month - Criteria
1. Member has to have been active during the month*
2. Has been active atleast 2 or 3 days in the month (the more days the more likely they can become)*
3. Has posted at some point in the month, or is the top poster (for regular members) of the month.*
4. Has created a topic (Optional... not required to eligible to member of the month, but simply more likely)
5. Member has gotten someone else to join in the month (OPTIONAL... But will help them more likely get it)
6. Has committed no TOU/Rule infractions in the month*
7. Is a role model in the community
8. Has made a (Great, useful) suggestion or multiple suggestions within the month.
9. Has helped other user(s) (with support issues, tutorials, etc) and/or has tried to make the community a better place in general.

Again, this creteria is intended to be used as a guide for staff when they are considering who should be the Member of the month for that month, not fitting under this creteria does not nessecarily mean you can not get member of the month or be considered for it.

Now staff also have a similar feature to try and keep them all active and to encourage teamwork, professionalism and helping/contributing to the community as a whole. Staff members will be considered and decided SEPERATELY from regular members only because staff are generally the most active users of the site, so it would be unfair to consider them along with members. So with this, there can be 1 member of the month and 1 staff member of the month, each month.

The creteria for Staff of the little bit different, but serves the same purpose.
The creteria is:

Code:: Staff Member of the month - Criteria 1. Has posted atleast four posts in the month 2. Atleast 1 or 2 of the post must have been helpful 3. Has started a topic in the month (optional) 4. Has gotten new members to register/join in the month (optional) 5. Has received no complaints from users in regards to misconductive behavior or any other actions that can be deemed inappropriate for a staff member to do (is directly determined by Brandon, otherwise just general things)* 6. Has been a positive role model in the community 7. Has increased the activity of the section(s) for which the staff member is responsible for (If appicable and optionally..) 8. Has come up with an idea that could help make the site better (OPTIONAL) 9. Has treated other staff members and regular members equally, fairly and respectfully

The creteria is very flexible, we intentionally designed it as such, we did it this way so we can take into account ones real life commitments like a job, school etc. So you are not automaticly elimated:).

Hello everyone,

I wanted to inform everyone that, after a thorough discussion with the staff here at BD, we have decided to suspend motm and sotm temporarily until site activity picks up.

We apologize for this, but it is in the best interest of the site in the long term. When activity picks back up, it will be re instated.
