Are google web ads effective?

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering everyone's thoughts on google Ads. Are they effective as means of Advertising a site or product? Is it an effective way for a website or company to make money? Do people really click these ads? Has anyone ever found one useful? I just thought it was an interesting subject since like every website, privately owned or not, has them.

Well in answer to this topic I answer yes, it is effective to the website owner or at least it can not hurt.

From what I've heard they can be worth it.

Oops my mistake! That makes sense though, considering how many google searches are made a day.

I'm sorry if this makes me sound biased and judgmental, but I think that all online adds (displayed or not) are an extremely bothersome nuisance and need to be kept to a minimum.

agreed, but turn them off as soon as possible.

They are, but they also a major source of income that keeps the web free.

Unfortunately not every add can be turned of right away

Again, its not pleasant to be viewed, but it is a sigifinicant form of income and promotion for many. This topic is really about the finicial effectiveness the ads. Not really the annoyance of it.

I wouldn't know as online ads suck (at least in my book anyway)

Such isn't always an option with some Google ads (and I've experienced this 1st-hand with some YT videos).

In order to avoid another long-winded argument, I withdraw from participation in this thread.

just got to turn them off or mute them as much as possible if you don't have an ad blocker program installed
