You mean the second half of the season? Yes it is but they did that to remind us it is the apocalypse.

not sure, but it's going to be big, to keep the viewers coming back

Of course it will be, they also want to attract new people as well.

it's kind of late to bring in new people to the series, but anything is possible

No it is not, they run marathon's constantly, I started watching it last season. I borrowed the other 3 seasons from the library and had them knocked out in 1 weekend.
