Install the FM notification bar.

Hi!

Just telling... installing the FM notification bar 'd be a better option

I have not installed it for the sole reason that it works for some people and does not work fo others, for those on mobile devices the toolbar is more a pain then a help. Our navigation bar (I think) is simple and easy enough to use to accomodate the need for a toolbar. What does everyone else think? I will try to post a screenshot of what it is soon.

P.s I am tagging this working on.

Well, I can't test it on a mobile device. I'm hardly ever using internet on my phone btw. I know when I check out my site on it, it looks terrible; FM got something like a stripped down version of it, I can't log in and can't get to my HTML pages. Even the Classic Version won't work on my phone.

I know I can style the toolbar though to anyone's liking, like I've got a very custom one on my site, Brandon, even on my HTML pages.

Yes, on a mobile phone it is terrible. What do the other members think?

i have not installed it either, as i do not know enough about it yet

What we mean is, it is a toolbar specific to Broadcasting Duo, it would have profiles, links, etc. You can not install it, an admin of Broadcasting Duo would have to.

I do not know how to better explain it.... See my screen shot above.

Well you and the rest of the members are the deciding factors of this suggestion, however, please take the time to consider everything. (I myself am not very fond of the idea only because I use a mobile device a lot... and it stinks on it) that is why you must decide.

Considering the fact that this works for some people and not for others, it may be better to keep things as they are until something can be done to ensure that it works for everyone.

I do not know if there is one, let me do some research tommorow and see.

[Only mods are allowed to see this link]: You're saying the notification bar doesn't display well on mobile devices, well is that a known issue on FM or is it just the mobile device you're using? And, why don't you let peeps test drive it for a week, so they can decide better?

Known issue on all mobile devices, I have seen very similiar problems addressed on fm support forum.

EDIT: I am perfectly fine with a test run, will do this later.

Should try a trial run? This means we enable it, try it out, then we take a vote at a later time. If we dis-like it we can disable it again and do away with it.

I say that its worth 1 try, but remove it if this function/program doesn't work for everyone.

People should know it's a new way of accessing your profile settings, PM box, search the forums and getting in notifications, live and on each page, which also means part of the navigation bar will be unnecessary.

Yes I will,acitvate it, but 1st I must re design and style for bd... right now it is the standard forumotion one... yuck.
