What is Winamp? Empty What is Winamp?

Hello,
I know Winamp is something like Spotify, but what precisely does it do? Does it have songs in a database, Does it play CD's, Does it let you stream, Does it let you modify audio? I just do not know what precisely Winamp does. Is it Different then Windows Media Player then?

winamp is a mp3 player, like windows media player, but it may not be available on the newer systems, i dont know, but i know i managed to save it from my old computer for my new one
