Logitceh HD Cam
First topic message reminder :
Hi all,
Just wanted to say that I have a Logitech HD cam as one of my Christmas presents this year, so my shows on Vaughn or any other websites may look different.

Do you mean the webcam?
If so, yeah usually the system will install any needed drivers and such needed for the webcam to work the first time you plug it in, after this, it should always be able to be used and work with no issues.

Re: Logitceh HD Cam
Since this cam is outfitted for USB, it usually can be used almost immediately after being plugged in.

Yes indeed, most webcams are plug in and play so they are easy to use for users of all skill levels.
From what I hear, the webcam you got is a good one .
Re: Logitceh HD Cam
well, most webcams will not work on anything under windows XP, but most of them are USB Connections and that is something that only comes on the newer laptops and desktops, so most likely you will not find any computers that are running Windows 98 that have a USB port of any kind, although you may fine one or two with a PS\2 port, but windows 98 will not support a webcam

If your computer is running on windows 98, then I very much doubt you will have any use for a webcam, as I very much doubt you will be able to much live streaming or anything from it, the computer and system wouldnt be able to handle it .

Re: Logitceh HD Cam
I could be wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure that the wasn't very many webcams available when Win98 was the "top" operating system.

Your right, there probably wasn't.
Re: Logitceh HD Cam
there were a few, but they seldom worked to the level of they are now on win 98, although some worked half decent on win 2000

Doesn't matter, I doubt there were any decent working software to use the webcam with anyway.

Well those days are long gone now.
That said, why don't we bring the focus back to MODERN webcams.
