Spam Bot & Spammers Reporting
Hello,
If you see a user that might be a spam bot or spammer. Please report them to a staff member immediatelly, you can do so by: posting in this topic, using the report a post feature, by the 'report an abuse' link at the bottom of the site, or by private message (pm) to a staff member. This way a a staff member (ex. Adminstrator, moderator, etc) can ban them. You can usually recognize a spam bot because they'll post very long gibberish topics/posts that make no sense and advertise stuff you don't need.
When reporting a spambot or spammer to a staff member in this thread or by any other method, please include all or as much of the following information as possible:
Username of the spambot/spammer
Url of the spambot/spammers profile
Link to a post or topic created by the spambot/spammer (used to verify/confirm the reported user is indeed a spambot/spammer) or if you cant provide exact links to posts or topics by them, then provide a link to a section that contains them or a screenshot of the post/topic.
If you recieve spam pm (private message) by a spambot/spammer , then please include the first 2 information listed above (spambot/spammer username & profile link) as well as a screenshot of the pm(s) and include them in your post/report to staff in this thread or any other means.
If it makes it easier, you may copy and paste the below format to use in your post:
Please report all of them. This is very important, because we want to keep the forum free of clutter.
Staff: When dealing with a spam bot... first ban them and change their warning bar to banned, then edit as 1 topic/post from them saying: spam removed and member banned and move it to the Dump. Then delete all the rest of them.
Thanks,
- The Broadcasting Duo Team
