Train sets!

i am also still looking for some more cylindrical grain hoppers, and also anything of interest in the way of model buildings and track-side scenery, so feel free to offer some up if you have any laying about or know how to come about them

As frustrating as it is, I need to remind 1mtvfan of the following issues associated with and/or involved in this matter.

1.) The most recent setup's main builder (a.k.a. our dad) hasn't completed his seasonal employment obligations for the year yet.

2.) This person is the ONLY one who voluntarily goes out and collects the weekly supplies needed by our current place of residence and, as a result of this, he frequently is physically drained.   

3.) The space that has been allocated for the new setup needs to be cleared, which hasn't been completed as yet due to scheduling conflicts).

4.) The task of designing the new setup hasn't started yet.

There may be a few other challenges/difficulties that I've missed, but those that I've listed above are the main ones. I am also rather frustrated with how slow things on this front are moving but I accept the undeniable fact  that designing, building and operating a model train setup is NOT a top priority for someone who has a paid job.

Most of what I said is NOT irrelevant. The last part of my recent post is how I feel about the situation, and can be dismissed.

Seeing as how 1mtvfan has chosen to keep being cynical and refusing to hear the voice of reason regarding this particular matter, I am now on hiatus from this BD thread for the remainder of 2018.

the grain hopper from @djmarverlousmart has arrived, pushing my operational grain fleet to 26, i actually have 28 grain hoppers, but 2 aren't operational as they remain in the repair shop, one for a refit and the other is awaiting a rebuild

clearing of new train set site has begun, just unable to move the heavy items at this point, but sadly,the foot dragging continues to put a wrench into things. #hellomiserablewinter

you guys are all free to contribute anything you like to the new layout if you all want

update, count is off, the combined grain fleet for TTfan and i is 48, but only 44 cars are active, the two new grain hoppers give me 24 individually, but with 2 cars down for a rebuild and a refit, i am at 22 individually.
Also, i am doing what i can to start prepping the site for the layout build, one dresser is ready to move, but the other is not. still super awesome to have another cylindrical hopper

you guys are welcome to contribute to the new layout if you want

i'm only looking for a couple more cylindrical hoppers, then i am done with them, as the weight of them can add up to quite a bit for my locos to pull, but i will be parting ways with my Con-cor Soo line hopper once i can find an Athearn Soo line one, or one from Walthers or Accurail, but after i obtain a couple more cylindrical hoppers, i will only take them as a gift

site clearing has begun, if only in a VERY small part, which is annoyingly slow, really thinking new train set won't happen at all. Plus if the old BS rules about train length and weight carry over to this new train set, I am out of the plan and will try and build my own train set #miserablewintercomingup

Update, one dresser is clear from the site,a good start, but still more to do to ready the site for the new layout.
further update, @djmarverlousmart may be sending me a second grain hopper, but the matter is scheduled for further negotiation at a later date

still another update, @djmarverlousmart has begun the negotiations for another grain hopper, but if the negotiations result in a negative, a second grain hopper has been secured, and the second one may be less cash. Either way, i will have 23 active grain hoppers, going to be super awesome to see them all rolling on the new layout, even more awesome will be having ALL my grain hoppers rolling, even the 2 inactive ones, once the inactive ones are active, i will have 25 in all,although i may be parting with one of them.

negotiations are looking good for the new Milwaukee road covered hopper. with that one, i will have 23 active and 25 overall, it's still a waiting game at this point though, but there is a second one in reserve in case the first plan will not happen

even if everyone of them has to sit in their boxes if the old rules about train length and weight come in, because if they come in, i'm out, and will wait for them to be removed

really think this topic should be locked, since once again i am the only one making any contributions to it

train set is one step closer, but still have a lot to move, along with cutting holes in the walls for the tunnels,also,
the two grain hoppers i have looked at with @Djmarverlousmart have to wait, as he is committed to another Cylindrical for @Tigertankfan at this time, which is fine, because the train set itself has not been built yet
