I still don't have much to say here but I do know that the plan to perform two summer road trips this year remain in place. Unfortunately I still don't know what's going to happen in terms of getting the trailer at Green Bay Resort replaced either.

Hello everyone, got an update for the trailer replacement situation.
Due to missing the time window for this, said event will NOT be happening. There's a chance for this to happen in September 2023 but I have doubts about it.
So, unless things work out for September, the replacement probably won't be happening until sometime next year.

Hello all, don't have much to say atim but I do know that the trip to Green Bay Resort will be happening in early August.
Such is usually when this happens though, so its not completely unexpected.
As mentioned previously, the 2023 trip will be mixed with a note of sadness as it will be taking place without my friend's cat Phoenix.

As of 9:30AM CDST on 7/7/2023, the situation for this matter goes as follows:

Unless things change, the plan has myself travelling to Green Bay Resort in early August 2023. As usual, I will be staying in the trailer owned by my mother's retired teach friend even though its very close to the age limit for this resort. I am looking forward to this trip but, due to the plans made by the person mentioned earlier, such may be the last time I go to this campground. Its unfortunate but this person has said that they've become disillusioned with the campground due to its restrictive rules.

I will do what I can to keep people on here informed about any developments in this matter.

I apologize for making another post so soon after my last one but I have received some disappointing news regarding the 2023 beach trips recently. Due to some other plans, it turns out that my trip to Green Bay Resort will NOT be happening until sometime in September (possibly on the Labor Day weekend). As for the trip to Delta Beach, such will happen but its going to be nothing more than a day trip.

My mother has said that she's going to try and make up for this, but it has to wait until her return from a nearly two-week trip of her own.

As usual I will do what I can to keep people on here informed.

Even though I won't be going to Green Bay resort in August, I'm still able to participate in a trip. Said trip has me staying in a hotel (which actually allowed people to sleep in its lobby during a major winter snowstorm) for at least 3 days. Doing this also allows me to visit Delta Beach (albeit for a short visit), so all isn't lost as I had first imagined.

As usual I will do what I can to keep everyone informed.

Just got back from my alternative summer road trip now (as of 3:05PM CDST on 8/11/2023). Have to admit that while I remain somewhat disappointed about not being able to go on my usual trip, this one was better than I had expected. The hotel I stayed at, while looking somewhat dated in terms of interior décor, does have an indoor water park and I also got to see a museum that I hadn't visited since I was a kid. 

While this trip marks the end of my road trims for the year, I may try and experinece a train-related event in September. As usual I will do what I can to keep all of you informed.

I'm sorry to say this but do to a presently on-going illness in my family (as of 3:10PM CST on 9/30/2023), any & all lake trips may be permanently cancelled. I will do what I can to keep you all informed regardless however.

Just wanted to say that, as of 7:40PM CDST on 10/9/2023, the trips to Green Bay Resort have come to a permanent end. Such is the case because my mother's ex-teacher has sold out of the resort. Its disappointing but not a big surprise 
because she had said that this was the plan (due to the place's rules getting more and more restrictive). As result of this, all future trips will be at Delta Beach.

Its not the most developed but is a lot closer to the city that I live in. I will miss how developed Green Bay Resort is but NOT the rules. Then again, private campgrounds can set their own rules.

I'm sorry about not posting here in a while but family obligations have kept me from doing so. From what I know, the 2024 trip to Delta Beach is on unless something forces the plan to be changed or cancelled outright. I've been informed that the aforementioned trip will take place in a bunk house at said beach. Unfortunately it will cost me $400CDN, but I have accepted this. 

As usual I will do what I can to jeep people informed about this matter.

Still not entirely sure about the exact details of the summer 2024 trip yet but, on the plus side, there hasn't been any cancellations of the overall plan. I will do what I can to keep people on here informed either way.

Hello all, got some cautiously optimistic news to share as of 6:30PM op 3/27/2024.

My mother has managed to secure a bunkhouse cabin for our exclusive use in the later part of July 2024. The trip will last for 5 days, which is quite good considering the price it cost. This plan could still be cancelled for any reason and at ANY time however, and that's why I'm choosing to be cautiously optimistic.

As usual, I will keep all of you informed.
