I have heard the sad news about the 'owner' of the house in question and their current very bad health. Sorry to hear that and yes I do hope you guys all get it moved over to a new home before that persons health gets any worse.

well, that issue has been contained for now, so the current issue is the landscaping which needs to get done

The train setup will NOT be landscaped until the parties involved are able to design its replacement and then build it in an attic space that has been allocated for it, case closed (since there is NO point in performing this work & then having to pull it down halfway through in order to move the entire setup out of its present location due to the building being put on the property market). Also, as I mentioned before, the fact that the setup's main builder has employment obligations to keep (also known as making money to pay all of the bills that are generated by our family's 100+ year-old & therefore increasingly hard-to-maintain residence as well as things like cable tv, car repairs, food, internet & utilities), is another factor in this particular situation. I'm VERY sure that 1mtvfan will challenge me on this, but I remain fully convinced that its better to leave things as they are for the time being as it will be easier to disassemble it without landscaping.

the issue IS landscaping, the set up is NOT moving anywhere for a long time yet, ergo there is plenty of time for the landscaping, so i will continue to wait it out until the work on that happens, although i did pay a visit to it today, but only to fix a stupidly made error.

the issue IS the landscaping, moving the layout will not happen for some time yet, but as of right now, some equipment has to be put away, as there is an issue with the lease agreements surrounding them which is a poor move on the part of the parties involved. and it is you TTFan that needs to open your eyes to the pressing issues.

update, was there today, and just got the last quarter of my model equipment back onto the tracks,   but, sadly, i had to remove one of the cylindrical grain hoppers from my consist due to issues surrounding the lease of it, just hope i can get a replacement one soon that is of similar quality to the one that had to be removed

nothing to update here, except that my boycott is continuing until the landscaping work begins, and I am prepared to wait it out for as long as it takes for the landscape work to begin, even if it means waiting out all of fall and winter, really wondering if it is time to consider removing my equipment from the layout on a permanent basis and let it all wait until after the move to make a reappearance.

1mtvfan, if you would stop being so damn narrow-minded & short-sighted you would see that what you're doing is insanely childish. U also NEED to understand that the health issues of our dad & uncle's mother is CONSIDERABLY more important than the future of our shared model train setup.

I still say that its better to leave the setup in its current state until AFTER it moves into its new home.

I'm VERY ashamed & embarrassed now, as this behavior is absolute garbage for a 37 year-old man

my stand is my stand, and we are not 37. also, it has been said there is trade-offs with everything, so this is nothing more than a trade-off, and there is little to nothing that can be done about it, therefore the case is closed

*sighs* oh well, guess some people want to be selfish & stubborn

small update, younger brother is going to get in on the landscaping when he has the time, but until then, the running sessions will continue to be one man down should they continue

The operating sessions will continue despite being a man down (even if its for a completely pointless & stupid reason). As for the landscaping thing, I still say that its better to leave the major work on hold until AFTER the setup is rebuilt in the 3rd floor attic space of the house owned by the parents of myself & 1mtvfan (once again due to the health issues currently being experienced by our dad & uncle's mother in addition to the plan for the future of the building that the setup is currently being housed in).

again, i have said my case on this, and i am standing behind that statement, despite the ongoing bouts of boredom

Ok could you two please stop bickering on here please. If you have personal issues and disputes, please deal with it by other means and in another way, but do not take on BD. Please stop bickering on here and cut out the rediculousness or I will lock this thread MYSELF.

Ok look, just stop bickering in the thread and we will be fine. I dont see why it is so hard not to bicker about personal disputes on A PUBLIC thread on BD.

Please just stop with the bickering and this thread shall live. Just stop arguing here about whether or not to work on your 'scenary' or not on here and work that out amongst yourselves.
