keep in mind, this is not a real train, so it is just annoying to have keep re-setting things. the real life trains would be much harder to be put back on the rails, and it would cost them a lot of money to do it, as well as the clean ups of anything that has spilled.

unfortunately the set-up has an accident now and then, but nobody has been seriously hurt... yet. And the unit numbers mentioned are wrong, they are actually numbered 2522 and 2520.

Since real trains often carry dangerous chemicals (such as benzine and glycol), there usually is a great deal of environmental damage that happens when there is a derailment.

Almost forgot to mention the fuel that most locomotives carry... this also gets spilled during a train derailment and usually leaves an ugly sludge.

that's why most real locos are watched carefully for any safety infractions.

that's also why safety on the rails is paramount. and updating everyone. the drop bridge is being removed and rebuilt as the bridge deck has warped, creating leveling and coupler issues, but the rebuild will hopefully not take too long, as a thicker board of wood will be used to rebuild it.

As for the model train situation, there's not very much going on these days as my bro and I are having some problems (with each other as well as the setup) and these problems are keeping us from having issue-free operating sessions.

I hear the time of the year is making the set up go uneven and causes alot problems. Am I correct?

the issues are the train setup itself and the leveling issues, along with the bridge. so that's the current situation

Understood. Will this force any set backs when [Only mods are allowed to see this link] of your train set resumes in September?

the bridge is the biggest issue, as it has warped, which creates an drop as the train on the inside track passes over, which means the locomotives let go of the lead car in the train, and that leaves the train behind for the locomotives to crash into on the next pass, it is not so bad on the outside track as the outside track passes over the bridge the opposite direction.

The problems between myself & MTV are extremely personal and its better for this forum if the details of these problems aren't discussed.

Mine is a CN Rail NAFTA locomotive (unit no. 5937) that, according to the actual unit's history, was built for the Missouri Pacific Railway in March 1975.

the bridge board is being replaced from 1/2 inch plywood to a much thicker board of plywood to keep it from warping again, and then the drop bridge parts will be added.
