Obviously, the lower the price, the lower the quality usually is. However, there are rare exceptions where the quality of the microphone doesn't match the price. What are some microphones you've tried that sound better than you would expect at their price?

My number one choice is one I've posted about here before; the Yoga DM-520. It is a dynamic microphone with XLR output, and costed me only about $15. Compared to my Audio-Technica ATR2100 (which sells for $60), I have to say my Yoga sounded just as good; maybe better.

I also have to mention my Pyle-Pro PDMIK1, which costs a shocking $3. Just like the Yoga, it is a dynamic microphone with XLR output. I don't think this microphone has GREAT quality, but I hardly expected a working microphone at $3. It also sounds quite clear, besides working.

Just want to update my post. I used Nady SP-5 microphones live and they sounded beautiful for a cheap mic.

Bump!

My Logitech H600 that I got clearance for $30 (normally about $50 or so), has been by far the best microphone headset I have purchased to date. 3 years now and still working great. Wink
