First topic message reminder :

i am also still looking for some more cylindrical grain hoppers, and also anything of interest in the way of model buildings and track-side scenery, so feel free to offer some up if you have any laying about or know how to come about them

Having a fold-up yard over the bed in the "Bedroom section" is definitely going to be an interesting experience, and I for one am cautiously optimistic about getting to experience it.

While u may not like the idea of being cautiously optimistic 1mtvfan, that's all we can be as our dad has a number of priorities that come before the construction of a replacement for the LCVRR.

@TigerTankFan wrote:
Yes the LCVRR is dead (as of 12/12/2017), but we now need to try and keep moving forward.

@TigerTankFan wrote:
Unfortunately there is no news in relation to the progress of the LCVR's replacement at this time, but such is because of the other priorities that the father of myself and 1mtvfan has to deal with (such as buying supplies and paying the bills that come with having modern day luxuries).

@TigerTankFan wrote:
1mtvfan, our dad is NOT dragging his feet on building a setup to replace the LCVR. Much to my frustration, I have to explain the situation to you again. Everyone needs to eat and, since you're not (or don't appear to be) willing to make the level of effort that's needed to go shopping for this necessity, he has to do it. In addition to this, he is the only one who can (or is willing to) pay the many bills that commonly come with having the luxuries that you use (such as the internet). In closing, I will also say that u are free to try and build a new model train setup for yourself and by yourself if you want but I'm sorry to say that I for one am VERY doubtful that you'll get very far.

@TigerTankFan wrote:
1mtvfan, I honestly don't know why you want to let such a petty issue keep u from enjoying your model train collection but you can do this if u want. I for one am willing to wait for the LCVR's replacement to be built and can enjoy my own collection on it (well, the items that I can use anyway since I haven't been able to try and repair my damaged spine car yet due to lack of materials, space & time).

@TigerTankFan wrote:
Not too sure about this, but the plan seems to be as follows:

1.) Cleaning up the site of the now-dismantled LCVR is the top priority, but this will be completed after the holiday break is done.

2.) No word on designing the above setup's replacement as yet, but I for one am convinced that such is because of the upcoming holidays.

Thanks for the update guys.

Please try to get along and not argue over petty stuff, thanks.

Then pick a new name, no need to get all up in arms over a name. Neutral

Unfortunately the upcoming holiday season is a major factor to why this process is currently stalled. Other priorities such as cooking meals, paying bills and weekly shopping (as well as cleaning up the site of what was the LCVRR) also have a role, but to a lesser extent.

Well if it doesn't have a name, then what do you expect call it then mtvfan? The nameless train set. When something doesnt have a name yet, you usually revert old name until it gets a name.

Really not a big deal and nothing to fuss about.

Wouldn't it just be easier to come up with a new name that you all can agree on and get it over with already. Razz

Unfortunately Christmas 2017 continues to keep this matter stalled out. And I'm still convinced that daily priorities will keep the matter stalled for the immediate future. So I for one will continue to refer to the setup as the now former LCVRR, even though 1mtvfan has issues with it.

As I've already said, the setup continues to be known as LCVR until a new name is created in my mind.

Thats enough about the name guys. Lets just forget about the name and move on. It really doesn't matter what it is called, it isnt even made yet.

I wasn't wanting to do this but I don't appear to have a choice. Anyway, I am now on hiatus from this thread (and the BD in general) at least until the end of January 2018. As for why, recent events in my personal life along with the continued cynicism expressed by at least on person on here (who knows who they are) have forced me into taking the time off.

that changes nothing, the name LCVR died with the landscaping plan, and is therefore no longer applicable to the train set
