General Twitch Discussion

Hello everyone,

I feel this topic is long overdue, so figured I would do the honors and make it.

This topic is for general discussion topics about the major video game streaming website http://www.twitch.tv/ and in it you can discuss general things (ex. Features of the site, your favorite features, new features, bugs and glitches of the site, whether you us or dont use it and why, etc).

I hope you guys enjoy the topic and enjoy discussing general stuff about Twitch here.

Alright enough rambling from me, let the discussions begin. .

Well I like the whisper feature and the Twitter beta thing on twitch, it's useful and stuff but one thing o dislike twitch is their ad of very video I think on desktop and mobile. Feel free to correct me if ads play on desktop version.

Yeah, alot of sites have ads, some more so then others, but that is how they keep the site running and if it is a free to use site, one can not complain too much.

While this is my first time making a post in this BD thread, I feel that its needed because the owner of the live cast called TwillightFM has started using this site. I for one am not too pleased about this, and remain unsure about its use as I need to create yet another account and get yet another password for it.

Yes I saw that on facebook. I am suprised as I thought Twitch only allowed gaming streamers. Perhaps I mistaken though?

i have used twitch for my main shows and the one thing i have actually noticed is that there are more Music and radio type of streams showing up on there and most people that have tuned in have asked me when my next stream is so yeah it does take time to build a following there.

Have you ever used justin.tv?

If so, twitch is similar to that, but without the categories and is more buggy.

then it's a site to avoid, ezcapechat is your best bet

it's not that twitch is buggy it just has it's own set of site issues that they need to fix the IRL section of twitch has double the users then the other sites and the music section is growing day by day i have seen alot more new stream's popping up and also about 85% of blogtv's old user base is over on twitch now as well.

well, i don't know enough about it, so i will stick with what i know

I am also avoiding this site. I will stick with Camup even though it may cost me a friendship.

It would seem that Twilight FM has abandoned Twitch and is using a site called iVlog again.

yep he was all for twitch cuz it had an app and what not since twitch makes you have a licence to play music now for those types of channel i can understand why andy went back to Ivlog.

yep i did as well it's a shame twitch should have not have ventured into music they should have stayed all gaming but hey the music part of it is where the smaller sites shine the most like camup ivlog yln come into play.

The problem for Twitch is that they are owned by Amazon and when a big company owns something. Everyone wants to sue them for something. For that reason they have to make sure all content on there is legal. That is why they should never have gotten into music.

I agree with you Brandon.

If anyone wants to know, DJ Andrew and TwilightFM have since abandoned twitch.

I don't know anyone else who uses Twitch, it's pretty much just gamers now.

i abandon it last year and have not been back since and alot of people moved back to camup Like Shi and jeff kelly so it was not good in the first place to have music shows on twitch.

Plus Jeff Kelly's channel the wurx got reported after moving there and had to close.
