Train sets!
First topic message reminder :
i am also still looking for some more cylindrical grain hoppers, and also anything of interest in the way of model buildings and track-side scenery, so feel free to offer some up if you have any laying about or know how to come about them

Re: Train sets!
the LCVR name is dead, and TTfan needs to stop using it to refer to the layout

Re: Train sets!
I feel your making a mountain out of a mole hill here. So just drop it already, you spent an almost an entire page making a big deal over a name, a name for a in set that hasen't been built yet. So for the final time, just drop and forget already.
It is not worth going on about over a silly name, it is stupid. Either stop bringing up the darn name or stop posting in this thread until a new name is made.

Re: Train sets!
I did have an idea in terms of giving the new setup a name, but I gave it up as celebrating the holidays is the priority at this time.

Re: Train sets!
Tried to have a chat about the "new setup" situation with my dad today (1/1/2018), but got no response. I will make another attempt with the matter at some point tomorrow.

Re: Train sets!
Got the answer that I was looking for now (as of 8:50pm on 1/1/2018), even though it wasn't from the person that I was expecting.
As frustrating as it is, the parents and uncle of myself & 1mtvfan are having problems with getting the LCVR's former home cleaned up and ready to be placed on the local housing market (which is supposed to be happening some time in March of this year).
I had more to say about this but it would make me look very judgmental and selfish so it will not be included.

Re: Train sets!
most likely it wasn't an answer at all, but a lame excuse trying to pass for an answer, that seems to be the norm lately

Re: Train sets!
Unfortunately I have to remind 1mtvfan that, while the "no progress" thing is quite depressing and frustrating, model railroading is NOT a top priority in life. Supporting and taking care of oneself (in terms of health and general living) is.

Re: Train sets!
Let's try not to reply to this topic until a new name for the set up is agreed upon and the new set up is being put up. That way, we can avoid dis agreements. Thanks!
Re: Train sets!
my point remains valid either way

Re: Train sets!
foot dragging continues, thus pushing the build date of the new layout back even further, this is becoming an "if" situation more than a "when" situation

Re: Train sets!
It is in the process of being dismantled and re located to a different building, due to the owner of the building it was in passing away.
Re: Train sets!
it has been dismantled, we have to transport it back to my house and rebuild it now

Oh wow it seems like a big project moving it back to Charlie's house to put it back together again. Sorry to hear the owner passed away

Re: Train sets!
the owner of the house it was in was my grandmother, and she passed away, so the plan is to sell the house, and that means Liptonville had to be dismantled, and now everything has to come back to the house that myself and @Tigertankfan live in, and i have been toying around with adding some Thomas the tank engine and friends to to the mix, so i;d like to know how you all would think of that

Re: Train sets!
Unfortunately the space that's been made available for the new setup is considerably smaller than that used by the now-dismantled LCVR, but its the only space usable for this purpose. Also, as for the concept of having some Thomas and friends equipment on the new setup, such is NOT a top priority at this time as the work needed to get the materials used by the above setup still haven't been transported out of the house formerly owned by the grandmother of myself and 1mtvfan currently remains unfinished (nobody has made any effort to start working on this whatsoever t.b.h).
I will admit that such is very frustrating but there's no point making complaints about it as the father and uncle of myself and 1mtvfan are quite notorious for dragging their feet on low-priority events (and, despite 1mtvfan's feelings about it, model railroading falls into this category).

I am sure it will get done eventually, patience is a virtue sometimes.
Let us please not start bickering about the progress of the train set being re built here please, as this forum is not for settling family disputes. That is something you guys need to handle amonst yourselves.
Re: Train sets!
i still consider it an "if" situation, but my question about some Thomas and friends locos is still valid

Re: Train sets!
It seems this train set is still in progress. It seems it still need some kind of set up before it can be finished. Hopefully it will be finished at some point
